Blackhat VS Whitehat method-Can someone tell me the difference?

I want to be clear about these two method.
Anyone kind enough to share with me?
I kinda confuse to differentiate between these two.

What's the difference?
And how to spot them?

    Huge question. Basically, if you want to define pure,safe "whitehat SEO" this test is really simple.

    When you read about an SEO or linkbuilding technique, ask yourself "would google be happy if I told them I was using this?" - if the answer is "no" then its not whitehat.

    Real blackhat is basically anything involving mass generation of content or links, especially to benefit from adsense clickthroughs, and anything relating to redirectin visitors to different sites to search engine bots etc.

    However, everyone will tell you slightly different, as whitehat-greyhat-blackhat is closely linked to personal ethics and what you as a person find "acceptable".

      In many western movies, the guy who wears a black hat is the villain or bad guy, in contrast to the hero who'd often wear a white hat.

      I've never seen a western movie where someone wears a bluefart, though.
