Dear Warriors,

For those of you that are experienced at SEO, I could really use your help.

When it comes to IM, I still consider myself a newbie....I've done my share of eBay selling but when it comes to IM, I'm still trying to break into it :confused:Anyways, here is my problem: SEO is driving me crazy!!!

I'm currently suffering from information overload and I can't take it anymore. Article marketing, link-wheels, link pyramids, it's all driving me bananas.

Can anyone recommend a simple SEO course that has a simple step by step plan to follow or even how to go about this whole mess

Thanks everyone
Ramy

I hear you Ramy. There is a lot of confusion, scams, spams and lots of real education needs to get done in this field I believe. I talk and have talked to so many CEO's throughout the years and their conception about SEO is many times totally off. I have been running an SEO company since 1999 with 7 employees serving all kinds of industries and I feel it's time for me to give back offering an ecourse (not filled with hype or things that does not work but real solid SEO food that works). This is what the SEO industry needs....As far as the course goes, I am in the process of completing one in February (if you can wait that long that is). This course is in video format and will show you step-by-step how to go about the process and shows you what we did to get top placements for competitive keyword phrases for our clients. Basically I am pouring out everything I have learned since I first took an ecommerce course in 1998. If you want I can send you and email once this will go live...It covers everything you need to know to get the job done, so after the course there should be no confusion as what to focus on as a long term strategy....

Take everything you hear with a "grain of salt".

Create interesting content and get backlinks without trying to be too tricky about it.

You asked for a place to find an seo course with step by step info. I have an ebook that I will make available soon at no charge.

yes, take everything with a grain of salt.

      The best advice:

If you do "self seo", just keep relaxed, don't overdo it. Backlink consistently, take your time. The worst you can do is using some "brute force" approach building too many links in short time. Even worse if it's a new site.

Even professional SEOs who will charge thousands usually spread out their campaigns over several MONTHS. There is no rush. Faster is not good.

In one week you can bookmark, next week you can submit a few press release. You can do low volume/moderate volume blog commenting etc..you can submit articles, next week you hire someone (or make yourself) a squidoo lens and some other web2.0 properties.

As for Link-Wheels (even worse "LSI")...you are not alone, you could go to any random SEO conference and 50% of the people would tell you that link-wheels wont work...50% say "well no, they still work"..the same with "LSI" keyword strategies...some say its the hype of the century, Google doesn't even use LSI...some will say they do and LSI will help in rankings..etc..etc... so you're not the only one with information overload

I totally agree. When I first started - I went to different forums to learn. People had (and still do) different opinions.

My advice is to learn the basics. Then - try experimenting. See what works for you.

For an example - ppl are saying that sig links are a waste of time...but right now, I'm experimenting with only them and having some success. Some ppl would say I'm crazy for doing that - but hey, I'm having success, though I believe it will be short term.

So learn the basics and start experimenting on a technique. If it doesn't work - move on to something else.

...btw - a good place where I learned the basics was webconfs.com

Just stick with the expert advice of one "guru". In my opinion it is Brad Callen. Just go to www.bradcallen.com and download his free e-book The SEO Mindset. He also gives a lot of stuff out for free that is worth a lot. He is also called the king of software and he doesn't spam your inbox and try to sell something to you in every mail. Great guy - you cannot go wrong with him. If you join his list he sends you some very good seo lessons over a period of time and it is useful stuff - no crap.

NS : It is not an affiliate link.

I only get an option to get a hard copy of the book. Where's the option for the eBook?

First of all SEO is boring chapter those don't love it if you want to do SEO you must love this filed then you will not get bored. If you want to popular any blog or website even if you do less link building it's ok but that case you need to update your blog/site with unique relevant content. Content is the king and it can automatically build back link for you. /Beside you can do off page SEO like Directory Submission, social Bookmarking and some of Reciprocal link building with relevant site
