I am so glad my blog went from unranked to PR3 in my first month!

  I think the PR is updated constantly. Its just that what we see from the green bar is updated every 3 months, or somewhere close to that.

  1 of my blog went from pr 2 to 4 (in 3 months) and another 4m 0 to 2 (in 1 months). Yipee.

It can take quite a long time before you will see the fruits of your work. However, keep on working because otherwise the work you have already put in will have been wasted.

The one thing to be careful of when trying to link to high PR sites is that you do not end up with a link to your site on their resources/links page but that page will not have a high PR.
