Recent Experience W/Yahoo PPC

I have seen a few questions with Yahoo PPC recently and wanted to tell my recent success. I have used them for quite a while now and recently changed the settings from advanced to standard on search and the results are awesome!! I am getting the same # of clicks at about 1/3 the price and my conversions have about doubled. Give it a try if your not happy with your current stats. If sure did help me save a lot of money!

    Do you target long keywords? Because I have almost zero impressions for them. I ask because I don't have the money to test it myself.

    Yeah, if your not working with a big budget I found more specific words such as cheap michigan car insurance, etc.. worked better. Getting into less specific words like auto insurance, or car insurance wouldn't convert as well and is more expensive from my experience.

    Advanced is equivalent to Adwords broad match keywords. Standard is the equivalent of phrase and exact match.

    I'm glad there is a thread like this created.

    I am planning to give a shot to Yahoo PPC but I somewhat skeptical about it. I wonder, does the adword fundamental works with yahoo PPC or is it another thing you should learn from the scratch?

    and as for the Yahoo PPC customer service and rules and regulation, is it strictly than Google?

    Just another update. I removed some more basic keywords that weren't very specific and it is helping. They may work if you have a huge budget, but I'm working with about $20/day and don't have room for low conversions. It has helped. I went from spending about $20/day to $6-10 with the same number of leads. Now I just have to continue to work on low cost keywords that are specific to my niche and will convert.

      What is your average CPC cost, I have used Looksmart and found my best Auto Insurance converting keywords were between .15 and.45 cents which has worked good for a $10.50 offer and a conversion rate over the last 3 months of 6.5%. Anybody have any other auto insurance data from other PPC options?

    It's been a few months since my last campaign (health issues), but I LOVE Yahoo's platform. I've had good luck with them for quite awhile now. Cheap and easy to test. A great place to start a campaign before you start to scale up.

    I have been running about 35% of my PPC budget through Yahoo and have been having pretty good results. It's a great platform to test campaigns since you can direct link without any problems.
