Does anyone know of a reputable company or service that does SEO work as far as getting quality and relevent backlinks? I would rather pay someone to work on this but am I bit hesitant to post this on Guru.com or Elance.com as I don't want services that will just post links on junk directoies.

Suggestions?

Well, the best bang for your buck would be to get someone to build you linkwheels or better yet, do the seo yourself. You might just end up saving thousands.

True true, by doing the seo yourself it wastes a LOT of time.
I used linkvana for a long time, but at some point the effectiveness seriously drops. But I guess it's worth it.

    Outsource linkwheels buddy. It works.

    Hi Guys

This is me been lazy, it's old post but sometimes needs saying again.

The whole link building business is really easy but few people I have come across do it properly!

I rarely come across someone who know's how many links they need to get on the first page of Google!

In a lot of cases it's less than 100 links, yet people spend all of their time submitting to 0,000's of worthless directories and writing hundreds of articles going of to directory's that Google has never heard of!

I have just written a blog post on this very subject after a client tried to order 1,000 backlinks off me, when checking he only needed a handful of high PR links to get to #1 in his niche, talk about a waste of money!

Do your research first before you even think about starting a linking campaign.

    Dayne Pm'ed you.

    Kind regards

    John

How much are you willing to spend? The quality guys can go for $5K/month... are you talking about that range or something lower?

Develop your own SEO plan and then outsource it. Provide documentation of what the person has to do and have them follow your plan. That way you control the process.

First of all, what exactly are "link wheels" and who is the best at creating them?

Second, I will not give away my site in PM's or on here.

Third, the current #1 spot for the phrase I'm after has around 300 backlinks, has a PR of 3. It is listed in DMOZ.

I honestly don't feel it will be that hard to outrank or at least get into the top 1-3 in Google.

Also, my domain is the exact phrase of the search phrase I want. Just with hyphens like...

If you are not willing to give out the url then it is going to be hard for anyone to help you. Not all sites are the same and therefore the strategy is going to be different as well. Why is posting the site a problem?

Because it reveals my niche. Simple as that. And not only that, the exact phrase I'm after.

That is why I recommended you pm me the site. Your asking for help but you don't want to give out the required information in order to get that help. I've never heard of anyone being afraid to reveal their niche, how else to plan to make sales if no one knows what you have to offer?

I said, I am not revealing my site. You haven't heard of anyone being afraid of revealing their niche? C'mon. Seriously?

The point of my thread was about SEO services, good ones, that do a good job for backlinks.
This is not about revealing what I have to offer to make sales. That is not the issue.

It seems pretty clear to me. He isn't asking for suggestions. He is asking for suggestions on who to use to do his SEO. You don't need to know his site or his niche or anything to either recommend yourself and your credentials or suggest someone else.

As for how do you know what you need to do to rank number one?

          Easy

Do the research as to why the top positions are holding their positions and beat it both on page and off. Don't try to pigeon hole the job to linkwheels, pyramids or anything until you know what you got. Different tools for different jobs.

You can hired some SEO specialist or a link builder specialist in a freelancer websites. Try to visit odesk.com and put a job opening for sure there are many SEO specialist going to apply with you. And its up to you to view their portfolio.(you can also bid for a low price)

Or else you can try some others ways like tools for gaining your quality backlinks.

How hands off do you want to be? You can use a service like Free Traffic System (for free) to do article distribution to blogs. You can outsource the article writing. Or if you want you can use a service provider that writes the articles and submits them (as above).

There are all kinds of social bookmarking services. Some of them offer free accounts (like the one in my sig), or if you want more hands off you can get them to be more automated (like the one in my sig).

Depending on your budget, you could also hire an outsourcer (as in part or full time). There are some pretty affordable people out there that would be willing to do nothing but work on getting links to your site.
