SEO Experts Help! - What to do some changes on my description?

I was ranking on some of the search engines for various position thou low. So i made some changes to my description about 8 days ago which didn't take effect on my site but visible only on SEOCENTRO.

Now i can't find my site in any of the listing, could it be as a result of the changes i made. For the changes to take effect, will i have to lose my SERP first and later regain it.

    I think things like anchor text and page titles are going to play a stronger role, especially in google. The description will not have a significant effect on your ranking (some, but not much).

    Seems you aren't sure, you know the changes never had immediate effect on my site on the search engines, could it have disappeared to reappear as usual and then with the new changes.

      Your meta description plays a small role in the ranking of your site in Google. Google doesn't place much weight on it becuase if it did, they'd be easier to game.

      Focus on a short keyword title. Make your meta description look good to users.

    Although meta descriptions poses low significance in your rankings, it still pays to plan carefully on your on-page factor early on your SEO campaigns.

    Would you recall to have made changes aside from your meta descriptions? That would also help you determine what MIGHT have caused you loosing your rankings (emphasis on MIGHT because we really don't know how Google treats each website).
