Hi guys I was wondering..

is it worhless to have access to 'high pr' squidoo lenses in your niche... (in a back link scouting/posting perspective or goal...

I have noticed or maybe am wrong..we cannot leave any anchor texts..urls etc in any other persons lenses...so apart from hoping people check you out as a user from someone else squidoo lens and finding your specific niche/promotional lenses

..there is no way we can use other peoples lenses for SEO reasons../ backlinks?

...ummm correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a backlink a backlink? All else being equal, having a higher pr backlink is better, of course. But having a backlink is better than not having one, right?

A Backlink is a Backlink, however not all backlinks have the same value. If you are not able to place your own anchortext then the value is drastically reduced.

One way around this is using domain names that include your keyword for places that will only link to your URL and creating account profile names with your keyword for places that use your account name as the anchortext.

In the case of Squidoo, your account name only links to your profile from the other peoples lenses. However you can include inline links that are nofollow so you may get direct link traffic but no SE love, that is, if you don't get tagged for spamming.

of course high PR backlinks with anchor text are many times beter then ones without anchor text. Try to leave coments in blogs, there are many other places without squidoo where you can leave your backlink

I heard squidoo has gone down hill a lil bit. If thats so, would something like hubpages be a better choice?
