Is there a way around this adwords landing page problem?

Hey,

For the past couple of months I have been using google adwords to drive some traffic to my squeeze page. I now understand that google is banning people for driving traffic to landing pages. Is there a way around this?

One of the most important things in business is to be able to calculate a rate of return when investing money. If you cannot drive people directly to a sales or opt-in page it is going to be very hard to do this. Why are people going to continue to use adwords then? Seems like it might be expensive traffic if you are just driving it to a blog or regular page.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Brandon

If you have some original content on your landing page with a privacy page, contact us, disclaimer pages etc you will be fine. Make it look like a real website and have a 300 word article below the fold and optin box. Make sure you use the keywords in your h1 tag and also in your article. Link to other pages or sites with similar content to what your site offers. This way you have a real site and not just a one page squeeze page in Google's eyes.

    Cheers

Yeh Jan's right.. You've got to make it more then a one page site.. add more pages, add more content but maybe do all this below the fold.. so it won't effect your optin rates...

Well, you could use the Screw Google System. Although, they kind of falsified the results by not trying that hard... They could have cut down the costs a lot, and stopped using ineffective words.

However, they did get a lot of traffic.

The point is - you don't need to use AdWords.

Well, you use the other two big engines. Yahoo! and Bing =P I know Yahoo! lets you do direct linking, not quite sure about Bing.

Google is not banning people for driving traffic to landing pages..
It Just bans the affiliates who is driving traffic to landing pages whose only motive is to sell..(I mean the very thin affiliate sites)..

so,if you could make your landing page more informative enough and also make a content rich (have lot of internal links and a bulkier site around a single niche)..google Actually rewards you..

      Hey warriorn,

I thought this was the case. I found it hard to believe that I was giving away all this value and they would still ban me.

I'll just make sure to have some content.

      Thanks,

I disagree, I have just put up a new campaign will all of the above mentioned, including linking to my blog which is full of good content, got all the contact us etc etc, yet my keywords are all getting slapped by a quality score of 2! I think google adwords is dead, but Google will shoot themselfes in the foot by doing this how much revenue will they lose.
