    i dont think so there can be any use of Orkut. Yes, you can surely place your website link in your profile.

    There are no such forums where you can discuss about insurance in particular.

    Here in Brazil, social media is ORKUT.

    Is there any article or something here about how to improve FRIENDS in your community?

    I don't think you can get any SEO help using Orkut. Yes you can always get some traffic from there but SEO.. I'm afraid you can't.

    Apart from the homepage link in your profile, you may use the new feature "Promote" of Orkut.

    This is cool because the promotion block you create will appear at the right top corner of your friends orkut profile pages. Also, when your friends will click on the promote button, your promotion block will be displayed randomly on their friends profiles as well.

    You may embed text, youtube videos, images, URLs etc in the "Promote" block.

      I don't use Orkut personally so I can't speak from personal experience. But... one of the link building experts at Pub Con in Las Vegas last year said that after you built up your reputation in Orkut high enough you could actually get credit for your links... like having the no follow removed.

      Not sure if there is any truth to this at all. I've never used Orkut myself, but it might be something worth looking into if you use it anyway.

        I don't think there is any advantage using orkut. I would prefer you to Facebook, Twitter for SEO.

    Orkut is each day more difficult to use to ADD new friends, send scraps to your friends (imagine for non friends)... everything is considered spam.

    Orkut has something good: target. You have people form your city, your State, people who like something special that you sell.
    It is very slow to get people for you Community.

    We put a lot of coupons in our community... and after 1 month we have about 41 users inside the community. Our profile has almost 500 members, but no sales come from Orkut.

    Here in wf forum I created one post.. and nobody answered it.
    Orkut is not popular, neither here.

    I think you can use orkut also for your website promotion. Traffic from orkut helps in fast indexing of website under local business listing. If Anybody knows better please Suggest your ideas about use of orkut in SEO?
