PR1 = ? PR2 =? and so on

How about we collaborate to see how many links we can expect to get a certain PR ranking.

So far from 5 of my sites I found this:

PR0 = less than 30 back links
PR1 = around 30-500 back links
PR2 = around 5000-2000 back links

I'd like to hear from the rest. I'm sure some of you are able to get higher PR with fewer back links. All of my sites are regular business type of sites. None are blogs, forums or IM pages. Please share your knowledge so we can all learn something.

    That is extremely difficult to do. For example

    I have a site that is PR6 with 2 links
    I have a site that is PR1 with 100's of links from different websites

    The PR of the site that the links comes from further complicates things

      Some websites could have higher page rank with fewer backlinks because the owner might of used highly good quality backlinks and the page age might influence (i think).

        All my sites are PR4 and don't have nearly that many
        backlinks. I just rechecked one and it has 758.
        And to add to one previous post, I have one that has
        only 9 backlinks as is PR4 as well.
        Now I will admit that backlink checking is an iffy process.
        One of my pages varies from service to service with less
        than 500 to over 1000 for the same domain.
        Go figure. If anyone has the end all to end all ways of
        checking backlinks, post away!

    The latest theory I've heard is that PR is close to a factor of 8
    so 8PR1 links = 1 PR2 link, 8PR2 links = 1 PR3 link and so on

    Also your site can get high PR with just 1-2 links from other high PR sites.

    Well I hear all of you hear and this isn't my first rodeo. I also have a site that is PR2 with me building absolutely zero back links but it is showing around 37 links from local directories from yahoo and similar local sites. I've done zero on page optimization and zero link building to it. So I know the answers here will all be tremendously different. I wanted to get a big gene pool if you will to help determine if there is a round about average amongst all of us here. Please keep sharing so we can determine some value here.
