Attention Adwords Experts....Need Help.

I started using Adwords a couple days ago. Getting a lot of impressions and a CTR of about .08%. First of all, how does that CTR rank?

Secondly, I have had a few buyers that are not on my list, which leads me to believe that they are generated sales from Adwords.

My second question is....what is the best way of knowing if I am getting a good ROI with my Adwords marketing? Is there a report I don't know of that gives me a detail on who my Adword buyers are??

Thanks in advance.

Are you using adwords conversion tracking? You shouldn't use adwords without it!!

I had a feeling it wasn't something very complicated.

      Thanks

      Hey beancounter,

0.08 % looks like you left the content network on. Did you do this on purpose?
If not switch it off on the campaign settings tab. It might be a bit hidden. But it is somewhere around networks.

To your second question there is one free great tool for this. Google Analytics.
Link your Google Analytics to your adwords and be sure to have well considered goals with a value attached to it.

1% is average. If you continually test ads, meaning have two ads presented at all times and every time one ad clearly out performs the other, throw away the loser and make a new one to try to beat the winner, you can get to 5-30% CTR depending on the niche and keyword.
Google used to close accounts under.5% CTR. Now I would be embarrassed at under a 5% after managing a campaign for over 6 months. It just takes testing. NEVER STOP TESTING and you'll do fine.
