I have found all my writers on Craigslist in Manila (manila.craigslist.com.ph).

Just post an ad that you are looking for content writers and you will get a bunch of replies. Then I give them a topic and ask for a test article. Once you have that check it on Copyscape to make sure it is unique.

From there just look at all the articles you get and pick the best writer. My writers do articles for $1.50 a piece. The articles are good enough for backlinks and content (may require a little editing).

  There are good sites that will make you quality articles for Seo purposes and to get some backlinks all the content they provide is fresh. You can also hire some freelancers who are experts on writing content.

  If you want to get quality work done at a very cheap price use the Philippines
  I have most of my writing done by textbroker.com. I recommend using them. good turn around time and quality well research work is done. Pretty affordable as well.

Do you guys outsource to have your writing SEO'd content for your site?

To be honest, i dont think you will find an ezine-worthy writer which writes "coherent" articles for $1/pop....right now i am paying $3.75 (incl. submission)...good writers at an acceptable price are VERY hard to find.

What i do...i go on forums (like here or DP or BHW)...and then get some people from the services forums, 90% of them i usually drop since quality is utterly horrible....

I think for the quality articles you have to pay around $5 to $7 and today writing articles for websites has become one of the most lucrative online profession.

Writing articles at this price is not what I would consider to be lucrative at all. To be honest, I feel many writers undervalue themselves by letting others exploit their talents for much less than they are worth. Where I live, two articles at $7 barely beats minimum wage.

Good writers, with solid punctuation, coherency, extended vocabulary, and above all a gift for turning words into decent mind imagery (teaching on all levels) are extremely difficult to find.

If you want someone who is going to write content which will keep eyes stuck to your web-pages, e-books or maybe just click through from articles, you should expect to pay decent money. Decent money buys time to research well, proof read, edit and above all give more dedication.

Now please do not feel I'm knocking the general writing population here. There are some very worthy, stand up writers out there who work for these prices, and whom deliver great content. I'm just saying some of these people should earn more. People outsource this work because they don't like doing it or cant do it themselves. Why? Because it is difficult to do well!

As of right now I pay $1.80us for 300 word articles at oDesk. That is for EZA quality article but not submitted and that is for a bulk of articles 50+. But you really have to weed through a lot of people before finding a good writer at a bargain price.

I've also had pretty good experience from Philippine writers.

interesting. Will check them out. Because i did some calculation today and found i am paying A LOT for articles at the moment ;/

How does odesk work? Are those people getting billed hourly? Is there a way to talk to those people and get rates per article or are they all getting paid by the hour?

I find going on to DIGITAL POINT FORUMS is better and cheaper for getting outsourcing articles.

You find individuals trying to make a little bit of extra money. You can pay from $0.005 per word for an article.

Simply go to the content creation forum within the services forum on DP.
