When creating a blogger blog and linking to a primary site - the Blogger blog is not showing up as a backlink to the primary site.

Anyone know how to get the Blogger Blog show up as a backlink?

    How are you checking/verifying it?

How long are you waiting for the blog/post to get indexed?

It might take some time as pointed out above. Blogger links are just as good as any other link. There is no trick there.

Did you try backlinkwatch? Is the blog linking to your site indexed? You probably should give some time.

If the blog linking to your site is indexed and has been cached by Google... it's probably already being counted.

Using the "link:" command with Google will give you inconsistent results and most backlink tools (that provide a single set of results) get their data from Yahoo. (same data you get from using siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com)

One way to see what backlinks Google knows about is to register your site with Google Webmaster Tools. You can see all the external links to your site and also you can see the search queries that your site ranks for. (*disclaimer: Even webmaster tools doesn't always show all the link data and it's not real time data.)

I totally agree. Google Webmaster tools and analytics is now my customized homepage as it has almost everything I need in order to help me get crawled and indexed properly.
