Do-It-Yourself Pagerank Building

Hey.

I have two websites currently out based on Adsense for income.
One is doing well. It is low competition and got to 1st page in Google pretty easily.
The other isn't, though. It's ranked about 60-70 in Google for a little more competitive keyword. I've spent about $35 for some backlink building from Digitalpoint forums, but many of them seem to be incompetent and provide crappy backlinks that are usually deleted within days.

I have done some backlink building with articles at Ezinearticles for the site and it's helped, but these articles take far too long for me trying to get up first page in Google.

So, I was wondering what are some free pagerank building ways that I can work on by myself?

Thanks!

Seriously just check out the wso and reciprocal links threads. There are plenty of packages for sale and even some free ones.

I would also suggest you wade through Terry's thread found here as there is a lot of good info in it, not just from Terry but others as well.

you should definitely do some forum and profile link building. I've experienced some decent results with them.

To search for relevant forums, type the following in Google
    keyword + "Powered by SMF"

You can use this idea to search for other forum platforms... this is just for all forums using SMF

Check what your competitors are doing with backlinkwatch.com. Refine and repeat it yourself.

    Hi Stewie,

    I use the following methods as my business model is also the same as yours. Ive been getting decent results but do remember that it may take between 2-3 months before results start to kick in properly;

    - Article Submission
    - Social bookmarking
    - Forum Profiles (Angela's and Paul's Packets)
    - RSS Submission - (Submit your site's xml feed to Rss directories for juice)
    - Web 2.0 properties - e.g. hubpages, squidoo, weebly, wordpress etc

Once you have your URLs for where everything is, bookmark all these URL's as well.

Thats it, I tend to avoid over complicating things, as long as you're organised then its all good. You'll hear lots of other methods from people but this is really all I use since it has been working ok for me.

    Good luck
