Hi Warriors

I bought a domain 2 weeks back and posted content couple of days back and then submitted sitemap to google webmasters yesterday.Site has 10 pages but according to webmaster tools, only 1 page is indexed.

Now when i type my domain.net into the google, here is what i am seeing

domain.net - CHEAP DOMAIN NAME REGISTRATION AND TRANSFERS
Domain parking page provided for DOMAIN.net along with low cost Domain Name Registration and Transfers, SSL certificates, whoisguard privacy .domain.net..

Just to add more info,i have SEO wordpress plugin.

Can anyone tell me why google showing result this way?

Regards.

Pinker, so you've logged into to your wordpress admin via your domainname/wp-admin and posted content, but yet your still seeing a parked page on the main domain??

I think the domain was already indexed in google and definitely they keep a cache copy of the websites.
So,usually Google take some time to crawl the website(it depends on how many backlinks your website have!).
Get some more backlinks and wait for upto a week, this can fix your problem....

        1. Make sure your web site name servers are updated properly.

        2. Check your robots.txt to see anything stopping google to crawl.

        3. Use WP pinger plugin so everytime you post it will ping the Google.

        4. See Google webmaster tools for any web site errors.

Check your 'Privacy Settings' in the admin panel and make sure its set to "I would like my blog to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Sphere, Technorati) and archivers"

Wordpress changed the default in a recent release so by default your blog is set to private, this has caught me out in the past

    Hey pinker

Most likely you just have to wait awhile for the new page to get crawled, indexed and then shown in the SE's with the new content you uploaded.

You probably should'nt worry about it. Just follow the advice listed by everyone here in this thread and you should be fine

Just checked everything from google webmasters to privacy settings, everything is fine. Looks like google has indexed domain before the content is put up, next to my domain, there is link "cached", when i click that i see old parked page). I will do some backlinking and wait for it to get indexed again.

    Thanks for replies.
