What to do with PR / selling ad space?

Recently my sites were given the cold, dead, but loving embrace by Google in the form of a few PR upgrades to 2 PR4s and PR3s, a PR2, and many 1s. I know this isn't exactly a gold mine, but I'd like to monetize that in whatever way I can. Being unemployed and all, you know, money is good.

They are niche sites, health and beauty products and such, nothing spectacular.

Do I sell ad space to my fellow warriors? I smell a WSO brewing... just kidding... but actually PM me if you want to buy ad space...

I've seen a few sites that broker PR ad space for buyers and sellers, but haven't really researched that fully. Can anyone recommend a good one?

Do I link to a few of my other somewhat-related sites, or will the fact that they're all on the same hosting site negate any benefits?

Does anyone have any other suggestions? Fire away.

    If you want to Sell links then you have to join link Exchange Sites where you can Exchange link or Sell links its up to you .. or Buy links

      If your site is worth it, here's the thing.
      People will come calling you.
      If you have a niche that either someone with a site
      or someone brokering links likes, and thinks it's worthy,
      they will find it and contact you.

      Last Monday I sold one ad for $550/year, paid in advance.

      Normally I charge $75/month to be the sole sponsor of a page.
      Paying advance it's cheaper.

      Others I sell range about $30-$50 a month.

      If you build it, schmooze it, websites will be coming out
      of the woodwork to link up.

      If you want an alternative to adsense, there it is.

      I do not do link exchanges.

      You need a solid website, high paying niche, and come up in
      the SERPS.

      Funny thing, more people want a text link, inside an article,
      on some of the most darndest pages. There are quite a lot of
      link brokers out there.

      Oh. Be sure and put a link on your page to your ad prices.
      My links just say, "Advertise on this site."

      Oh#2. If you want to sell ad space, do not hide your info in
      whois. At least that would be my tip. Some buyers don't
      even look close at your site.

    Not at all.. who gave you that dumb idea.

    No reason at all why you can't sell blogroll spots, ad space or internal deep links. I'm not sure what the market is for them at the moment or what the going rates are but people do do it.

    I could see some interest in site-wide links on your PR4 sites. People are always looking for good link juice to bump up their own sites and rankings.

    If all else fails, if you have time on your hands you could target businesses yourself. Businesses whom operate within the niches that you wesites fit into.

    If you can assure them that this can help increase their revenues then its a win win situation for both parties!

      Thanks for the tips Paul. I'll use your advice and add "Advertise on this site." for my higher PR sites. Couldn't hurt.

      Exactly. All I'm really hoping for is a little extra cash on the side for giving someone a good PR3 or 4 backlink.

      I'm not really sure I can promise anything other than a high PR backlink... But I could maybe see some bloggers wanting a good backlink from a related site.
