What is SEO software. How is it different from regular site building software like Modzela, Sea Monkey, Coffee Cup.

Where can I get it if I need it. How much does it run

And does it really help over regular site building software if I need it.

    Seo softwares, well some of them have some pretty cool tools that can help your website get better ranks.

    Some softwares offer a way for you to see who is linking to your site, how to find link partners, how to find authority sites and much more. If you are serious about seo then invest in a seo software, just google it and read the reviews.

    So if I'm understanding this thread, and being a newbie that's an challenge lol, software vs. hiring an expert, the latter is the better course. I've been reading about various SEO and keyword research tools out there, many free, so I'm wondering what the best place to start is regarding a plan of action. I'm looking to get started learning about SEO to help marketing my sites. Any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated as I too have been wondering about SEO software. Thanks.

    Best SEO Software is the Brain which you can easily train.

    There is no such thing as AUTOMATION in the SEO world. Everything has to be natural without any automated softwares.

    However you can still use some softwares to check ranking status of your site on Google/Yahoo. Using automated software for SEO purpose would be similar to performing hara-kiri on your own website.

    Well, it's good idea to use a combination of both the seo software aswell as have a good understanding of SEO. That's what i do. I usually let the software handle the percentages for me and then i just adjust the page
    accordingly.

    So do try to learn some basic SEO as it will help you understand how the Search engines work. Run a search on SEO.

    Please consider only using SEO software for tracking purposes. Software that automates url submissions to engines and directories is not recommended. Properly executed SEO initiatives requires careful strategy and planning, and is something that can't really be automated.

    Google's webmaster tools is a great start for surface-level SEO diagnostics. SEO begins quite simply, at the website level. Good, sound, clean site development is half the battle.

    Remember the mantra: "Content is King" and you'll be furhter ahead than most web developers! :-) Couple that with nice Search Engine Friendly URLs and you'll have a nice start.

    For more advanced SEO, consider hiring a reputable SEO consultant, or SEO agency.
