I have set-up a new website through appraisal software company 2 weeks ago now, have set up a Google analytics accounts as well, but for some reason I can not get Google to crawl the site so that is shows up on the Google searches, software co. says everything was done correctly, now just have to wait on Google. Any suggestions would be helpful.

3 Steps I recommend for getting a new site indexed quickly:

    1. Log into Google Webmaster Tools http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/

    2. Add your site, and follow the instructions to verify your site.

    3. Submit a Sitemap of your site.

I don't know about anyone else, but my sites are also slow to get indexed lately...and I do everything you're supposed to do to get them indexed quickly.

Two weeks does seem a bit long though.

I've read the most common mistake is having a No Follow for Googlebot on the robots.txt list. If someone didn't know what they were doing at this "company" you got that would definitely disrupt things! This type of thing really should be done by you..

Like Jared said go to Google Webmaster it has a lot of Do's and Don'ts to follow, because Google has turned most SEO on it's ear lately.. Or at least since I've started SEO.
