My site has 15 articles on it. Do I submit each article to the article directories or just the main article?

I'm thinking that your not understanding the principle behind article submissions....you create articles and submit them to article submission sites they should be different from the articles on your website.

You would create backlinks for your website....else everyone and their grandma will be using your sites content as their own....

I am totally confused Sim. I just bought a site with articles on it and each article is a few hundred words. Are you suggesting that I now write another article of a few hundred words to promote the original article?
As far as stealing content is concerned, can't articles from any published article be copied and stolen?
How do you use article directories?
          Thanks

  • Why would someone come to your site after reading an article in an article directory? What will they find when they come to your site... another copy of the same thing?

How does that benefit you? How do you use that to make money?

Remember that unless your site is strong in the SERPS (has pagerank, age or some other factor that makes Google favor your pages over other, similar pages), the article from your site that you submit to an article directory like EzineArticles will probably outrank your own article for whatever keywords you're trying to own.

I'd recommend spinning/re-writing your article so that it is a little different than the one on your website if all you're doing it for is backlinking purposes.

Ezinearticles do accept slightly re-written content in my experience. Although if you're doing it just for backlinks, it's going to be a pretty long winded process if you are having to keep rewriting your articles. Some directories allow duplicate content but I'm not sure about the validity of those backlinks.

I've done it before - distributed one article to a network of around 2000 article directories..and even though it was done slowly over a month, I barely got any backlink juice for it!

My experience is that article content that is submitted multiple places loses some of its juice over time. I don't know exactly what the correct amount of submissions is, I submit to about 5 directories personally, but I know 200 is going to end up being too many.
