Need to change the adsense format

I am setting up a new adsense site, and I want to rearrange how the ads are displayed. The only way I can see to make the ads show up is with the "ads by google" in the bottom right hand corner. But I was looking at another adsense site today that had the "ads by G" above the ad and to the left. It also had no arrows for looking at new ads. How did they do this?

I can not find anywhere in the adsense setup for changing where the "ads by G" is displayed. What am I missing here?

    You are not missing anything. You can't control it - Google does. They don't always use the same format.

    If you look inside your account settings you can control font size and type - limited. And of course you can change sizes and colors.

    I would assume additional settings for Premium Publishers, but not for the masses. But I've never seen a Google ad that wasn't tagged with their brand... and I look at a lot of ad source code when something looks like it could be beneficial.

    I am not trying to get rid of the "ads by google" I am just wondering how the other site got theirs above the ads. I didn't realize there were premium memberships.

    Same answer. Google just does this. They experiment with position and placement all the time. It's not something you can control.

    That was the point I obviously did a poor job of explaining.

    Different sizes also generate different looking ads and layouts.
