Are those Backlink packages work for you ?

Hey there

I'm confused.

Looks like the more backlinks I build the worse my position get.

I bought 2 packages in here and they didn't helped a single rank.

It has been over 2 months since they got setup and my sites dropped since to nowhere.

I don't believe it's the G-dance, that is usually over after 3-4 weeks. They are as well not in the sandbox, but in stead of rank 40 (before) they are now at 120-140 ??!!

Are those (popular WSO's) backlink packages REALLY work for you ?

I'm feeling I waste my money.

G.

I am trialing angelas list at the minute but I haven't noticed a big difference either way really - I do believe that they will work, and have worked for her, but more over the long term, and it just depends on your site a lot too - if you build a lot of backlinks too quickly then this can cause a temporary drop in the search engines, but if your site is a bit older and already has a decent number of links to it then the packages should be fine and should help imo.

Traditionally though for new sites I have always started off with basic article marketing - done manually. No mass submissions, no robotic programs, just a few submissions here and there over a few weeks and then scale things up from there. This seems safer to me for a new site and has worked to get basic backlinks, establish my sites in the search engines before being more aggressive with SEO.

Hope this helps, but just my experience, I would be interested to hear from people who have primarily relied on these backlink packages for their SEO too

I always try to build my links exponentially.

First week, 5 liks, second week 10 links, 20 links, 30 links, when I got more than 50 or so links showing up in yahoo, I might buy a package.

I think the most important factor is to keep a variation between the links. Articles, Web 2.0, social bookmarks, video, comments and forum profiles.

Remember, when angela started with her backlinks there were more of the different web 2.0 sites in her package and she started building from that. Later when people started to write stupid articles and comments to get links, she cut down on those resources and only focused on forum profiles. Those alone do not work as good as a combination.

The packages you buy today often only have forum profiles.

I did a post last week that stated that google isfighting backlinks spam and that it will not work anymore in the next few months. Google cafeine has changed the way backlinks will work. Age of domain will be the first criteria. I was in a business meeting(not IM) and it was being discussed by some executives( again this was not a IM meeting but they know top people from top companies) If you look over the next few months number of backlinks will not matter as much as quality links. from authority sites. It is foolish to believe google does not know about buying backlinks. Matt Cutts fight all spam all day..do we really believe he has not heard of angela?
This change was started by Ask.com(microsoft)search engine who will not even let you submit a url... THEY find you. This is why ezinearticles is so good because they also are very picky with what they publish. Buying the top spot of google is going to change. This is actually good for legit IMer's

This makes no sense. How can people but their way to the top of Google search results? Building links from niche related sites is the way to go. Web 2.0 properties should only be used as mediums to further broadcast your content. If your using that as your source for links, then your in trouble.

I guess you meant at the end here in your response that it's NOT possible to BUY links to get to #1, as an answer to my question about the backlink packages I purchased.

Anyhow spiritjoy, I liked your post and it does make sense to me. I've read that Google is revamping their Algo's. Will be interesting to see what will happen over the next months.

This is very important and maybe a reason why my sites dropped as all came from profile sites.

I think we've got defering opinions ovfer what good content is.

However, I'm with you that article marketing still helps.

That's interesting (and crappy) that you've dropped that far in rankings after buying link building package. I've always built links myself (or outsourced and just directed what to do), or worked out one on one purchasing arrangements with site owners. I've been considering trying angela's since everyone seems to be discussing it on here. I might have to try a case study with one of my sites and see what happens.

Just want to say that is an excellent point. Any other comment would be biased.

Im curious about this as well. Ive been using web 2.0's for a while as part of the strategy but Im concerned because for the first time it looks like they are no longer working.
