I am sure that if you build profile links you know that many Admins are no longer excepting free or web based email addresses. This is no big deal but if you are like me you do not feel like constantly creating new email addresses inside of your cpanel and I also just prefer the ease of use when using a web based email address that I can forget about when I am done building my links.

Anyway I have noticed that ALL of these sites still except GMX email addresses for some reason? I guess nobody has been spamming with email addresses from them. Who knows? But it works. Hope this helps some one out...

But don't admins just ban the domain for the email address? (I do)

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

Why would you ban someone just for using Gmail or Yahoo. You know how many non spammers use those kind of accounts for their web based access anywhere feature?

You know I haven't had a problem with that so I don't know about many. Maybe one out of 50 sites. The rest all take my Yahoo or Google email addresses. It actually rare to me.

Really? I have been experiencing more and more Admins banning web based email addresses. Anyhow I also realized that with yahoo accounts they are only banning them if the extension is @yahoo.com. If you have a yahoo account that ends @ymail.com or @rocketmail.com these work just fine too.

There are services available that will provide temporary email addresses that will operate for a period of hours or days and then delete the accounts. I ran across one when I was fighting spam on one of my message boards. It appears the only purpose they serve is to allow spammers an email address that they can use for membership confirmations and then discard.
