We've all done it. You start a new campaign and you're impatient to find where your newly posted site ranks on Google for a given keyword phrase.

What page am I on?

You start scrolling through the pages and after 25 you give up as your eyes are starting to bleed and you've convinced yourself that you must've missed it.

Well, I know some analytic services can do it for you, but have you tried:

What Page of Google Am I On? ?

It seems a bit tempremental (for this, read 'sometimes broke') but it's free.

Interesting to monitor your status as you rush up those rankings.

    Thank you for the suggestion.
I am just starting out and I feel rather overwhelmed. Any simple tool that can help make understanding this process better, is exactly what I need.

If you want to find out what page of google are you on then in case you are using firefox use an add- on called rank checker. You can get it from Rank Checker - Track Google, Yahoo! Search, & Bing Rankings Free you have to make an account there, but the tool is free and it also shows on what page are you in yahoo and bing.

I am mostly on page 1 or page 2 for my keywords, some are way back on 18 or 19, but I am no trying to rank for these anymore.

    Pretty neat tool, Peter! Thanks.
But it seems to show the rankings in Google US (World) only.... Correct?

I'm in Australia and I do SEO for my local clients so I need be able to check local rakings (google.com.au). I normally use Market Samurai (Paid version) to see the ranking progress but there is another tool I use sometimes (mainly for my own sites).

This is a free tool too and you can check rankings in several countries including AUS so that's handy for me.

Here's the tool: Google Position Checker Tool
