Does the keyphrase which you are first for get any traffic?

Is there any traffic to the website at all now?

What are your search numbers for your target keyword phrase?

If you are getting traffic but no clicks, than the problem is either with the landing page or with the offer itself (bad copy, price, may look 'scamy' etc). Check the bounce rate, time spent on the site, and also how users got on your site. Maybe they used little different phrase and thus your site was in fact not the intended for them? You just have to test and analyze, there is no way around it.
If you are not getting traffic, than although you are on the first page, people are probably choosing sites above yours. Although, being on the first page should still give you traffic, even with strong competition above you....
PS: this may sound obvious, but make sure your clickbank link is accurate and reflects your affiliate account.

As others have said, the search term your site ranks for might not be a term that gets a lot of searches. Another possibility is that your search term is not a buyers search term.

For example, someone searching for "American Eskimo" could be looking for general information about the American Eskimo dog, or even people; but if they search for "American Eskimo Obedience Training" they are looking specifically for dog training information and they may or may not be buyers. If they search for "buy American Eskimo books" they are buyers looking for a product. The point is, just being on the front page doesn't mean a whole lot in and of itself, why your site is on the front page is all important.

I don't know what niche/market you are in.

But one issue often overlooked is that some markets are simply not buying markets, people will search for info all day long but they won't buy anything in many markets.

Are there any adwords adverts on your keyword?

If there are, check out what kind of offers they are making.

If not, there is probably a good reason for it.

Well, the first step to diagnosis your problem is to tell how much traffic your getting? You said that the search term is getting 135K, but you never said how much traffic your generating. Its obvious that something is not right and the easiest way to figure that out is to test one variable at a time.
