Strange Indexing Problem?

I've tested a new website today. Build the site, loaded a sitemap, build a couple of links. The usual stuff. Now 1 of the pages has been indexed. however the meta description is totally wrong.

I've used a normal meta description tag in the source code. but it's not reflecting the correct meta description at all. It's a dutch site about loans.

when I type in: site:geld-lenen-zonder-bkr-toetsing.nl in google
the description I get is: "hier de tekst...hier de tekst...hier de tekst...hier de tekst..."

This means: " insert the text here"

Although when going in the source code that is nowhere to be found.

Anyone got an idea of what could have happend?

    hmmm....
    Thanks shaktimaan for your reply.

It seems to be a canonical issue somehow.

I've used google webmaster tool with the verification tag. But when you type in the "site:geld-lenen-zonder-bkr-toetsing.nl" ( but with www infront of the domain) ( I can't place links yet) I get the display as mentioned above, where as without www I get the correct display.

Where it should not give 2 versions since I've used the verification tag, and set the setting of the website to display without the www

Anyone know what this could be?

I guess it just takes time if you selected the site to be displayed without www. When did you select this option? If not too long ago just try to wait some days.

    Hi, Therlos.

    Have selected it today.
Normally I don't have that issue with sites. That also doesn't explain the issue with the meta description being wrong.

I checked it and i got the right meta description. Maybe it was a problem with the urls, really difficult to say but seems that even big G is not godlike
Do you get the right urls and meta data now?
