Does backlinking the ezine article at all help my website with SEO if there is a link to the website from the article?

Thanks.

Jim.

  • Well, I think what you're asking is if your ezine article has better backlinks does it help your web site ranking directly?

Im pretty sure it does not but it will help more people see your article THEN they will go to your site.

Also, if people use the article with your resource box THAT will help your SEO.

Yes backlinking really help you to promote your site, but in a basic term you should do first article submission and press release.

I might be going against the grain here. From what I can see, the backlinking from the articles don't help that much - however, you do gain solid referral traffic to your site. Best of all, this is targeted traffic.

I've seen EZA article (mine as well) outrank my own site - so EZA, GoArticles and ArticleBase are pretty powerful, however, the rest of the directories like articledashboard - from what I can see - are not that powerful. Still - they all bring in referral traffic.

I'm pretty certain that having a link back to your site from the Author section will help a lot, especially from EZA, but does anyone here know how long it takes for the BL to actually register? I have a site where I've written a heap of articles over the past couple with links back to the site, but I've yet to see any of those links actually register.

Does anyone know how long it takes ?

In my experience, up to two months for google. That's for it to appear under link:yoursite.

I am not looking to receive referrals from ezine (in the long term I want people to access it directly from google organic results and not through a third party).

Was reading the following (post 653):

        http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-...E28TqarP4K9K1I

By adding lots of backlinks to an article which has a link to the site, the web site itself rose in the rankings. Just wondering if anyone else had seen similar effects.

Considering one of my sites is in the sandbox, don't want the other to follow likewise, so maybe something to look at.
