1458 Directory Submissions in 2 weeks?

Hey Warriors,

I recently hired an Asian SEO(Back-linking) "expert". Yesterday, he sent me a report with a list of 1458 directory websites in which he had done submissions to in the last 2 weeks. I did verify randomly in a few and indeed I saw the links. He wants to go ahead and do 1500 more submissions. As ambitious as this sounds, I do not really have confidence in directory submissions anymore. This is a brand new sit - 1.5 mths old.

So my questions to Warriors is:

Do you recommend this many links to directory websites?
Do you think that such many links in such a short time might trigger spam sensors in Goggles?
Whats the fastest, easiest method you've used to get indexed fast and ranked well?

Thanks.

Well let me try to answer your questions:

    1. Directory links may not be very beneficial for good rankings but still this is used by most of the SEO's because every link to your site gets counted. There are some good directories like DMoz, Yahoo Directory, BOTW etc. that are really good.

    2. I don't think it may trigger any such spam filter in Google because first of all if you submit to that much of directories, you don't get accepted in all of them at once. Some may approve your link in 10 days, some may take 3 months and some 6 months. After that it is not necessary that all links will be cached at the same time by Google. So there is no such issue like excessive backlink building in this approach.

    3. I always submit some articles in good article sites like Ezine articles, Buzzel etc for a new website. These articles get cached quickly and so as your website. I also use directory submission for my new website.

I am completely agree with neno. Link is a link and directory submissions link is also counted and they are not considered as spam. But the main thing is that the "QUALITY". Directory links are not of that much quality.

As long as their not spammy sources you should be ok. Might want to take it down a gear to not tip off the big G though.
