Need Article/Website SEO Help - Paying $30!

Well I've noticed since starting this IM thing recently that I can write pretty good articles. Unfortunately, I still have a lot of gaps to fill regarding article SEO.

Here's my example: let's say I'm writing articles for my site. Let's say this website is perfectypuppy.com (it's not) and each article has a clickbank link. I publish the articles on my site. Let's say one of the articles is "how to stop dog digging" based on keyword research.

Now what? How do I get that article ranked in Google?

Should I publish the same article to EZA and other directories with the same keywords? If I do this, am I canceling myself out?

Does the EZA link go to my hub article or to the related keyword article?

Will I get penalized or at least not rank as well because of duplicate content?

Do I need to spin the articles first before submitting them?

Other suggestions?

Note: following Affiloblueprint model and using Xsitepro for website.

On Monday, 3/22 I'll award the best and most thorough response with $30 via paypal or preferred method of payment. Creativity helps as well.

Thanks!

You know, you could just ask for help.

In any case, I would use related keywords to the one you are targeting on your site. Say for example kw research gives you "how to stop bulldog digging" as a synonym with less searches but also lower competition, you could use that as an extra source of traffic as well as link juice to help your site rank better.

You could use the same keyword but I would do that only if you were looking to drive traffic rather than rank. You could of course test both options and see if the traffic you are getting from the directories converts as well as organic traffic coming from the search engines.

You definitely do not want to submit the same article that is on your site to the directories. Also make sure you check the policies of the directories as some of them don't accept duplicate content.

Now what? How do I get that article ranked in Google?
It really depends entirely on the keyword, its competing pages in Google and competition strength. You can usually not guess this but must do good research, what KW promise possible high Google rankings and what not.

One software i use for this is Market Samurai.

Now...let's take the hypothetical example you find a keyword with extremely low competition (say only 200 sites for this keyword in title) and weak competition strength, with all the current #10 sites in Google for this keyword simple being crappy sites.

Then you have a very good chance to rank very high from the beginning without you having to do anything more....simply let Google index your site...Profit.

(Assuming your article fits other criteria which Google seems worthy to rank your site)

But if the keyword has more competition and especially STRONG competition (meaning: old, established, high PR and trusted sites).....you will have a way harder time to rank this. And then you need to support your site/articles with backlinking to your article, having more and better quality links than the competing sites.

    The usual SEO rules apply:

First Good ON SITE SEO: Well researched keyword, good site structure, good title, good article, keyword density, related keywords, probably meta tags, H1, H2 tags, the usual

Second OFF Site Seo, backlink to your site/article.

The sum of all of this decides how you will rank.

As for articles for your site:

Chances are that the EZA article will outrank your site, simply because EZA has a higher authority than your site, especially if your site is still new. But this does not mean that a link from EZA to your site will hurt...actually the opposite is the case

Furthermore you can submit to many more directories and

    a) either link back to your EZA article from the other directories to strengthen EZA article..
    or
    b) link from all those places to your site to strengthen your actual site

"Penalized content" is a myth, but i would not submit the same identical article on a site and on EZA...i would also not submit the same article as on EZA to other directories.

I would simply submit a somewhat modified article to EZA so its not the same as on your site, and another modified article then to other directories.

And later on you can bookmark/digg any of them.

A great way of submitting my 150th post here in WF...

Before you complete your posting process, make sure you use your link as www.perfectypuppy.com/stop-dog-digging/

This will help you generate some extra brownie points as you would have the keywords in your domain url. Also spend some time using All-in-one SEO plugin. Search for the plugin, install it and it will take care of itself.

Now what to do for indexing. Move on to Digg, reddit and stumbleupon. Place your links there by using suitable description and title for your article. Ping your article URL using pingoat.com and if there is still time, head over to youtube.com, find a video relevant to your niche, comment on it with your link without sounding as spam. 9 out of 10 times, you would get listed in some minutes for sure.

As far as submissions are concerned, yes submit your best quality article to ezine. Spin the articles, modify some words quickly or find the best spinner online tool. Submit your articles(spinned ones) to other sites.. Also make sure you submit your site to directories. You can check my post to know something about directories.

Spinning and submitting articles would make Google feel a bit more happier to rank your site better. Using same articles would make Google feel "Not again! Same posts... Same links... What do I do with this URL now ??"

      Other suggestions?
Patience is an important virtue. Believe in your abilities, stick to a plan and execute it. Update your sites with regular contents. Get backlinks from high PR pages by commenting, tweet your URL, make a youtube video, add your URL to the description area, use your signature wisely, go for comment luv for your commentators, analyze your incoming traffic and keywords, use images, make sure you use alt text as your main keyword, keep 5% keyword density keeping in mind the readability factor... There are many things to do... All you need to do is to take action NOW !

      Good luck! Hope it helps..

Okay I am here to just help

How do I get that article ranked in Google?
Promote it. There are many ways to promote an article. You can either bookmark it, submit it to feed sites, ping it and even promote it on related forums or through commenting on related blogs.

Should I publish the same article to EZA and other directories with the same keywords? If I do this, am I canceling myself out?
It would be best if you will spin it. Search engine generally accept up to 30% uniqueness. There are lots of softwares that can do this for you. Or you can hire a human spinner.

Does the EZA link go to my hub article or to the related keyword article?
I do not like link wheels. They are way too obvious. After all, the search engines will see that everything is coming from the same IP anyway. The links you put does not matter. You just have to vary it up and make it random. Make one article link to your site, while the other to another article, while the other to your hub article. You get the idea.

Will I get penalized or at least not rank as well because of duplicate content?
Not if you will spin it to 30% uniqueness.

Do I need to spin the articles first before submitting them?
Yes. This is crucial if you want at least 60% article indexing. If you can let all the articles be unique then you can guarantee 100% indexing of your articles.

        Other suggestions?
Be consistent and do this on a continuous basis and you will reach your goal.
