Adsense for the Long Term

Hello Warriors,

For the past couple months I have been slowly learning, testing and purchasing tools in order to build a solid Adsense network. I think I have a fair understanding of niche/KW selection and how to backlink effectively. My concern at this point is the creation of MF@ adsense site templates and backlinking networks that in the long term will not unduly raise auditor attention and put my account at risk for being banned.

Of course I understand there are no guarantees and that the all powerful G can crush puny ants on a whim ... but barring unforseen acts of god, I would really love to hear your feedback as to what some of the more obvious violations are so I can do my best to avoid getting banned.

1. What are some obvious red flags that will draw attention to your website/network and get your adsense account banned?
2. Are 1-5 page Xfactor clone sites a particularly egregious red flag that will draw attention (more so than non-cloned, run-of-the-mill adsense sites) possibly get my account banned?
3. Will backlink networks created using automated backlinking tools (assuming they are used with reasonable care) to create link juice funnels to Xfactor sites raise any kind of red flag and risk banning?

As always thanks for the great advice,

I wish I could provide you with some specific answers to your questions but the reality is you can never know what will or will not get your account banned with Google. I've seen accounts that made no money or very little get banned and accounts that were making thousands a month get banned - all for no reason.

Use adsense as one of your income streams and then take the money you make from it and re-invest it back into your business in order to build sites that promote affiliate products or CPA offers. Next, you can graduate to selling PLR products until you ultimately end up creating your own products and selling them.

Keep in mind creating your own products and selling them makes you money - all other income streams make money for other folks who then pay you a cut of the profits.

    Respectfully,
    Tim

    I can answer 1 and 3, but not #2.

    1) Clicking on your own ads (without having the test flag on), Putting Pictures next to your ads, arrows pointing to ads, encouraging visitors to click on ads. Those are some of the best ways to get your account banned.

    2) Since I don't know much about Xclone, I'll leave that to someone else.

    3) Automated backlinks shouldn't hurt your Adsense account overall. It CAN, however, get your website deindexed or in some cases, Google will just not display ads on the website, but your Adsense account should be okay.

I'd definitely recommend having some nice "pretty" quality sites in your network to help insulate it.

    Gary

Having one page adsense sites was once very popular in the past but I think it is no longer working too well now that Caffeine is here. It is safer to add more pages to your adsense sites. Don't join any traffic exchanges too if you don't wish to see your account disabled.

I would always have a backup plan incase your account gets banned. Follow their TOS but you really can never be so sure.

totally agree. and we just keep on taking it too. that's where the real problem is.
if we HAD a better alternative, Google would play nicer. But since they KNOW we can't live without them, ( manopoly ) the treat us all like little peasants. : (

Agreed. We will never know the future with google. Sometimes they are just so mean. Once I had the incident where I have clicked on my own ads. My adsense is not banned. (yet)
