I always hear people talking about keyword anchored backlinks and how important they are to your site. Now, if I submit an article, press release, etc. do I need to manually insert my links to those articles or will they just automatically link back to my site? Let's say I typed an article in Word, manually inserted a couple keyword links in there, would they still be there upon the submission to a press release?
I guess I'm just confused if this is something I need to do manually with html, or if it just happens automatically. Thanks for the help guys.

    Hi Kenj,

So basically I should use html hypertext for my links and I will need to insert them manually on the keywords I am trying to use right?

In order to get a backlink you should provide a link bounded in anchor text in your article then submit it to article directories or blog post. i guess you can't place links in press release but you can place links in articles.
