Adsense Alternatives?

I wanted to start building mini sites for adsense but was concerned about hearing how accounts can get banned for no reason...are there alternatives to Adsense if this happens?

Has anyone used any of these other ad companies? Are they as good or better than Adsense?

Thanks

Google Adsense is the absolute best PPC out there... No-one else can compare to them at all, but there are other alternatives if this was to ever happen.

You could try, YPN, AdBrite, Bidvertiser, Bing/MSN and so-on. I think YPN would be the runner-up to adsense, but it still doesn't come close.

But remember this, Google doesn't "ban" for no reason..

GuruCreation is right. If you were banned from Adsense and you did nothing wrong, you can appeal the claim. If you did do something wrong, you're out of luck. Just make sure you follow their terms of service to the "t".

You can also try out Chitika, Infolinks, and Kontera as well. But they don't earn nearly as much as Adsense.

I've had some good success with Chitika but you can (and should) consider using Amazon ads on your websites as that can also prove to be very profitable...especially if the website caters to physical products.

Adsense is the best. But there are other alternatives:

      1. AdBrite
      2. Bidvertiser
      3. Infolinks
      4. Clicksor
      5. Chitika
      6. AdToll
      7. Exit Junction
      8. Yahoo Publisher Network
      9. Target Point
      10. Fastclick

Yeah, AdSense is going to give your the biggest "bang" for each click handsdown, but I don't think that worrying about getting your account closed down is a good enough reason to say "no" to a ton of potential money.

Just follow AdSense's TOS to the T and you'll be fine. If something does happen, you should be able to successfully appeal it IF you've followed the TOS to the T.

Clicksor i found to be the best alternative and i also use them on sites that o cannot use adsense, the worst one out of the whole lot was Bidvertiser although i still have a account with them the revenue that you earn related to the amount of clicks is laughable to say the least.

I was using Bidvertiser as well, when I was waiting for my adsense account to be approved or not. But, a lot of the time, Bidvertiser was posting irrelevant ads on my site and I didn't nearly average as much as you did per click.

I had seen some of the clicks get that high, but I averaged around $.25-.$50. Then again, I'm sure we were involved in 2 totally different niches.

You are smart to open yourself up to other options. But I would go one step further and look at monetizing more than clicks for pennies. Especially if you are going to build for specific niches. This means your traffic should be highly targeted and ready to convert.

What I did and what I would suggest you do is set up a few tests. Try and reduce the variables between them and show adsense on one set of domains and something like Prosperent on the other. They both are installed the same way, just drop in a few lines of code. So it is really easy to do this kind of split testing. Run it for a couple months and see what you produce. When one comes out ahead of the other it will be easy enough to replace the code.

Sadly there really isn't any viable competition to AdSense. In fact Yahoo is closing the YPN! later this month :-( A good competitor in the space is needed IMO.

Yep Wayfatwhitey is right. If you have websites about products and lots of organic visitors, it is time to change adsense ads to prosperent. More info in sig.

Please note that none of introduced networks can not be replaced with adsense because adsense is really the best one but some other networks like Adbrite, Bidvertiser and infolinks are good alternatives you can use to make money from your website.

There are other ways to make money online,
but there are no adsense alternatives.

People just can't get over the fact that there are
no adsense alternatives. You can always do a
      yard sale now and then.
