Ok, so I currently have a one page review site for an affiliate site and am getting low QS in Adwords, and ultimately higher PPC bids I have to place to get my ads to show. Based on previous advice, I'm going to add a few pages so I have a mini site. Now, I just want to know what types of pages I'll need to add to my site so it's more "highly recognized" by Google, and hopefully given more value. Should I just add like an "About" page and a "Sitemap" page or something along those lines? Is there a specific page I should definitely add to give it more "credibility" in Google's eyes? I assume I can just add these links at the bottom of my review page in the footer section.
Your help is appreciated!

  • What matters is the sites linking into your site. Google measures the authority of the incoming links, the time on site, the pages entered and exited from... etc.

Build value in a site and it won't matter if it's huge or small.

    Hi

Firstly, there are many different factors that affect your overall Quality Score

But, at the very least you should have a 'Privacy Policy' page and a 'Sitemap' page if for nothing else than to satisfy Google as far as your organic SEO goes

You should be concentrating on a VERY small and tight number of keywords (2-3) in your adgroup, this/these keywords should also be in the text of your Ad

AND the title of your Ad

AND the keyword density in the content of your Landing Page

AND preferably the URL of your Landing Page

    Also, the structure of your Ad should be thought about ie;

Catchy title WITH keyword in (tip: alliteration works well and bumps the CTR a little when used in the title

First line of Ad text description WITH keyword in

Second line of AD - Call to Action (tell the reader to do something eg 'Buy Now', 'Click Here')

You have limited use of the exclamation mark so make sure you use it well and capitalise ALL your words in the ad text

See Google's explanation of QS here:

NB: Adwords can be a HUGE moneypit if you don't know what you are doing properly, I suggest going through Google's Learning Centre

    Best of luck

Yes, add a Privacy Policy, About Us, Contact Us (actual email with "you@yoursite.com"), a couple links to big authority sites- So if you are doing a campaign about learning guitar, link to a page about learning guitar on Wikipedia or About.com (or both).

The landing page needs to be on-page optimized...
      Keword in the...
      Title tags
      Header tags
      description
      text
      url
      etc...

That should get you a pretty high score.

The below items are good suggestions. Your QS is also heavily weighted to your click through rate.

If your ads and pages are highly optimized but nobody is clicking your ads your QS will go down. The reason for this is typically the position of your ad is so low it isn't been seen much. If that is the case, all you can do is increase your bid to buy into a higher position and hopefully improve your CTR.

      Good luck!

Add a live news feed or similar to relevant content as well. This will in effect regularly update your content without the need to do it so often yourself. Google likes regularly updated content.
