new to the forum but heard a lot about it - do you guys do link exchanges on here?

sorry if this is the wrong forum mods - please move my post.

if so then where?

i cant seem to find anyhwere for it except this forum.

    Link exchanging does not do much. I sell links.
    The reason for link exchanging has gone away.

    Every email I get wanting to link exchange, gets
    a reply with my advertising rates.

    The only reason I link exchange now is for the traffic, but never for seo. You occasionally see some niches where link exchanging is a way of sharing traffic within a specific niche (blog rolling for example). But I would not recommend an extensive link exchange program unless it is for the traffic. Definitely don't do it for the search engines.

    There is a link exchange section on warrior forum if you are interested.

    I recommend some link exchanging with related sites. I'd only exchange with sites useful to your users.

    So if you have a site about motorcycles, you might exchange with some site selling cycle oil or biker clothing.

    I'd not exchange with a site selling diapers!!! unless they are diapers with the Harley Davidson logo on them or something rofl.
