Doing Xfactor the right way....

Hey all,

I have had great success with Xfactor sites, in fact I thought that I created the formula myself until I found all the posts on here I haven't done it en masse yet though, but I plan on starting a bunch of simple sites in the near future to capitalize on it.

I have been reading all the posts on here about all the people who do these sites in large quantity getting banned, and it has scared me into approaching this project a bit more carefully. I have a couple questions here that I would appreciate opinions on....

1) Does anyone here think that if one was to make an Xfactor site with a targeted static homepage, but then a separate blog page with some good content via an autoblogging plugin, that that site would be more immune to a Google crackdown?

2) Do you guys think that it is still viable to create a large amount of these sites (50-100), but add good content, and not have to worry about getting banned?

3) Do you think that anyone who attempts to do this on a large scale is ultimately screwed? How come you can have 1-5 crap sites without getting flagged, but suddenly an extra 10 screws you?

4) would switching up IPs/hosting accounts/Analytics/ Adsense accounts make you more undetectable, or would it be futile?

Basically I am just wondering if you guys think this is too risky to invest a lot of time into!

    I used to do it and I believe it will all come to an end soon.
    The sites are MADE for adsense especially if your doing clickbumps methods. People's adsense accounts are bound to be banned.

    How do you plan to backlink so many sites and still stay on top for all of them? The market is getting very saturated i had to consistently compete with other xfactor users for the top spot. It wasnt even worth all the competition for little pay i got. I had 13,000 impressions on one micro niche site and only made 15.00 over the course. Yes I did use the xfactor layout as well.

    Definitely don't make this your primary route in the internet marketing world. There is a post here from last year of a guy who was making $200 a day and got banned.

    The key with doing well in internet marketing is giving people quality. These sites don't offer anything to the user. All the reviews I see are complete lies no one owns 10 toasters. Most of the product descriptions are reworded off amazon.. I dont think anyone should try to rationalize these horrible sites in any way to keep them on google. Even if you do add content to them they wont be worth your time because the whole point of micro niches was they didnt require much work in terms of content or backlinking but because of that they dont pay much. Are you seriously gonna keep working on a site that generates 1-3 clicks every other day or so?

    These are my thoughts on it all. I am being 100% realistic. None of this omg i make $1000000 a day and dont get banned crap. Good luck to you sir.

      Thanks for your opinion. As far as your backlinking question, I have some money to play with, and I plan to outsource all backlinks. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I have had a great amount of success just outsourcing simple social bookmarks, dir. subs. and articles to get good rankings fast. In my latest conquest, I have literally taken over a niche, getting around 35,000 uniques/month just by outsourcing simple linking. I also have a MFA site, supertargeted, that had almost no BLing done to it and is averaging $200/month. Hoping I can do the same thing again

        I hope you aren't using any bad blog comments or forum profiles for backlinks. These people will report you to google if you do so (yes there is a form for link spam). This makes it all the more difficult to rank with micro niches.

          I have been using brute force angela and paul linking, is that the type of linking you say is dangerous? If so that worries, me, especially since I pay $40 a month for it

            Not trying to push this to the top again, but I really just want a few more opinions....do you think a MFA site can do well long term if content is added or an autoblogging plugin is used?

              A MFA site is, by definition, a spam type site and, therefore, is always at risk.

              Add quality content to it, and lose the standard Xfactor template, and it then becomes a 'proper' and 'original' site, which is pretty much risk free.

              I'd say it depends what sort of autoblogging you're talking about. Of the spammy "not proper content" variety, I'd say don't risk it. The minute Google reviews your site - BAM. They'll probably either deindex it, disable ad serving for it, or terminate your Adsense account entirely.

              If you mean hooking up to something like Free Traffic System / RSS feeds / Article Marketing Automation, etc, then the risk of having your account removed would be less since the content will at least make sense. Though really, it probably won't be directly related to your sites overall theme (unless you're very selective about what articles you accept) and may still come off as somewhat spammy / "system gaming".

              To be perfectly honest, I've not tried this. I do a something along the lines of the "XFactor method" myself, and I'm having some good success with it, and I've never really dabbled in autoblogging, or used any shortcuts, nor have any inclination to in the forseeable future.

              100% "unique", hand-written content, 100 percent unique, hand-written offsite articles for backlinking (actually, articles make up about 90 percent of backlinking; the rest is blog commenting, occasional profile links, whatever else), and for all the added time it takes, it works.

              I'm sure I could make some short term gains by going greyhat/BlueFart and leveraging "smart" shortcuts, but why risk it?

              You can make bigger gains in a short time by using shortcuts, hacks or special "tecniques", or you can take the slower but overall steadier approach and do things the way in which John/XFactor recommended. The latter is what I chose, because I'm more concerned about building a viable longer-time business (and making all my sites into larger authority type sites as time goes on) than making a quick buck whilst lessening whatever "security" or stability we might otherwise be able to have (if any).

              Although that's just me, my experience and my overall opinion and may not really in any way be reflective of the reality of things or what's best or smartest

          Google has stated its position on this a number of times. The link spam report is so they can analyze and plan for future algorithm changes. If you could get reported for links...everyone would be bombing their competitors with scrapebox and forum profiles.

          Forum profiles and blog comments are fine for micro-niche. Put some decent content on there. Point out some good deals on whichever product you're pushing. If you spend an hour writing content, it will be better than a lot of people on the SERPS.

    Yeah be very careful with those links. The time has come that the cat is out of the bag (maybe has been for awhile) but it is very possible that your IP address can be reported for link spam.

    Further to my above post, I don't think that the number of sites necessarily always translates into a higher risk of having your account banned, for sure.

    Google wants content. Google wants more websites, more searches, more relevancy; more money.

    If you have 1000 sites of significant, relevant, informative and useful content, I'm sure they won't care a bit.

    If you have 1000 (or even just 50-100) small, 1-5 page sites with very little useful information, and it's clear you've just slapped them up en-masse to make a quick buck, then yes, I'd say your chances of getting your account shut down are great.

    Again, I take the slow and steady approach. If you go through XFactors thread again you will, if memory serves (which it may not, lol) that at one point he mentioned only having 40-50 sites -- not a HUGE number, and he was already well over the $100-$200/day mark with them. Yet there's people on this forum with many times that amount, making but a fraction of the amount John is/was earning.

    What does that say? That John just got lucky with ALL of the relatively small number of sites he had/has? To me, that simply can't be the case. He did better research, he wrote better content, he took more time on building them into better quality sites, and he managed to make more of a success of the whole thing than those who ultimately spend a similar amount of time trying to speed up the process by setting up SWARMS of sites en-masse, not being able to properly backlink them, not being able to write good quality content for all of them, etc.

    Just use some common sense. Put yourself in the position of your user and ask yourself whether your content/site is of any value. If it is, then just use good SEO best practices to build your site's credebility over time. Forget about all the myths of people saying you'll be banned. If you stick to good SEO techniques then you should be ok.

    I definitely think its worth doing it for the long-term...I certainly am and getting some very good results!
