Adsense on Google Local Listings

I've not seen anybody do this successfully. If you have listings all over the country and get tons of traffic, you would think Google wouldn't mind their ads on the pages. Yet, I'm reluctant to try it as I've not seen ANY other sites on Google Local Maps with Adsense. Have any of you had any success with it?

Anybody? I've been an SEO for nearly 3 yrs, but I've not worked on Local Listings much. If anybody knows if you can ad adsense to the listing, please advise.

I would assume because most local businesses with a website,
want walk-in customers. Their websites are geared to getting
      customers in their stores.

Not really an adsense type of page.

You would run the risk of getting a potential customer to
      clickout to a competitor.

You would make a whole lot more with getting a buying customer
in your shop than a 50 cent click on adsense.

It would be allowed, if the sites followed google TOS.

But what is the incentive or reason for a local car dealer, beauty
shop, etc., sending a customer away?

Unless I am misreading your question.

Paul, thanks for the response. It's a lead generation site, but not everybody fills out the form. Also, for some cities I do not have an affiliate to sell the leads to, so I am just throwing them away, so to speak. Adsense would be better than nothing. I'll check TOS. Thanks again, Paul.
