Can someone give me a simple process to construct my negative keyword group?

As always, thanks for any and all enlightenment...

There are negative keywords in campaign level and adgroup level.
Go to add keywords section, add the bottom the page (look below "Total - all keywords") and you will see "Negative Keywords" with + icon on the left. Click on it and add your negative KWs.
    That is it!

      Hi tehering,

Since your question was very open ended I will answer in two ways.
      1. I create a list of common and obvious campaign level negative keywords and add them via Google AdWords Editor. I use keyword tools like AdWords Keyword Tool, Keyword Discovery and WordTracker to find as many as possible.
      2. Next I monitor my phrase match keywords for any phrases that include unwanted terms and add those to ad group or campaign level whichever is more appropriate.

I save a text file list of all campaign keywords including all the campaign level negative keywords. These files are helpful to review when setting up new campaigns.

joining dburk on the process + I'm playing with phrases and matches and spelling, e.g. for desktop PC campaigns you can have laptop, lap top, laptops, macbook, mackbook etc. options as negatives.

I use synonymizers to find out what I can add to my lists as well.

Why not try a negative keyword tool? Take a look at the free paper offered in my signature. It has lots of information about negative keywords and how to find them.
