Do you really need to go through SEO?

I was wondering, does one in the internet marketing realm HAVE TO go through SEO? Is it completely neccessary to learn, or is there any way to avoid that. I feel that SEO would be my biggest problem, as I am the type to outsource everything, rather than do it myself. However, I am in no financial position to outsource EVERYTHING. Is SEO the best method for free traffic? If not, what is?

Take some of the $100 a day you're making (according to your sig) and re-invest it in your business.

Pay for advertising, Adwords etc works out pretty good.

Even investing a tiny amount like just $100 a week can get you far.

What a weirdo...Don't offer to make people 100 dollars a day, when you're in a financial struggle to outsource! are you trying to market something here via your PM? If you could make anybody 100 dollars a day at will, wouldn't you be doing it for yourself?!

    GET OUT!

And yes, natural results are the best, and easiest way to get free traffic all the time. Get serps results with content and article writing.

SEO is just one strategy for getting traffic. It isn't necessary, but it isn't always as difficult as it sounds either (depends on the niche). If it doesn't appeal to you, outsource it (which is ideal even if you do enjoy it... as long as you can afford it).

I agree. SEO is simply one strategy to get traffic. There are many others that are free. SEO is a must if you're planning a long-term business with a blog or website that you want to stay ranked on the search engines year after year despite the changes int he algorithms.

Check Kim Roach's blog at Buzzblogger.com for some free traffic tips that are practical and don't involve SEO.

Everyone is giving the op a hard time about not outsourcing at $100 a day . I see where everyone is coming from but really , outsourcing at $100 a day is not viable .

If you do not have money to outsource SEO ( off and on) you better learn it yourself as paying for traffic is not an option you can afford either .

A little on page and a good off page plan will be a long term business model that will have you affording the outsourcing before long considering everything else is in place .

NO... but I would definitely advice you to learn it unless you know other ways to gain traffic and lot's of cash in your bank to throw on paid advertising like on adwords, media etc...

Plus SEO outsourcing cost lot's of money.

    Hi,

SEO is essential if you want to benefit from sites like Google which brings enormous traffic passively. While it is not required for people will flock to your website so long as they find them useful, getting ranked in the search engines is the easiest way to expose your website to new people who would be interested in it.

    So it is essential.

    Hope that helps,

    Aira

Free traffic? Targeted? Yes. Non-targeted traffic, SPAMMING.

I would just do some very basic SEO and leave the rest to Wordpress if you don't have time to learn SEO.

Install a wordpress blog including all-in-one SEO plus the Google sitemap plug in.

Then I would do some basic keyword research and include these keywords in the subject line, filename and sprinkle them in the blog post. Wordpress is quite SEO optimized, especially if you install the plugins i recommended.

But if you intend to buy traffic through Adwords i encourage you to learn SEO (funny enough). A highly optimized page for SEO helps you improve Adwords quality score so you can get cheaper clicks.

Basic SEO is fundamental because its actually designed for users. If your navigation and content is well set up, Google, Bing and Yahoo will love you.

Whether or not you need to rank high in the SERPS depend entirely on your business model. If you're running a blog or providing a local service, then yes, people need to be able to find you (especially when your site is new and you have no reputation).

But if you have affiliates, JV partners or use offline ads to bring direct visitors then SEO isn't a priority (though it can help if the search count is high enough).

Once you have a community and word of mouth propels your business, then SEO really doesn't matter because your visitors will return over and over.

Back to the outsourcing thing.... SEO is probably one of the simpler tasks that you can outsource. Most VAs I found in the Philipines have SEO experience because that's one of the first tasks most people delegate. For $400 a month, you should be able to find a rockstar. For $200 you can find someone you'll need to train.

But that's not a problem either - Just buy a course from somebody like Michelle MacPhearson that contains all the training your VA will need.

LMAO! So we have a guy who is basically saying "I cant be arsed to do SEO to build my sites" who happens to offer a $100 a day strategy!

    1. Why cant you outsource if you are making $100 a day.
    2. If you cant be bothered to do SEO why would anyone believe you can be bothered to provide them with a $100 a day strategy?

      1. $100 a day is from my current OFFLINE business. I just began in the business. Been in for about 2 or 3 months. Everything that is coming in (100 - 150 per day) is revenue. I had just broke my profit margin and am planning to up my investment. So, to answer your question: Im using 100 per day for another business. The money cannot be touched for anything else. Also, I only had enough capital to start my OFFLINE business.

      2. The OFFLINE business I am in requires NO WORK like SEO WORK. The business I am in is quite automated and passive.. Think of it as if I outsourced everything for my current OFFLINE business..

Ok, great answers guys. I freakin love the WF. Would you guys say outsourcing SEO work would guarantee at least top 10 rankings? If so, who can provide that guarantee?

I agree with fellow posts...re-invest back into your business. SEO can be time and labor-intensive so if you don't have the time, then consider outsourcing. The benefits of SEO, like a "FREE" endorsement from Google, quality leads, low cost advertising, and high rankings, are well worth it.

    Complete, total and utter spam.

Disappointing that it's found its way from DP to WF.

Ok, how does someone making $100 a day offline not have the ability to pay $5 a article to outsource?

Something is not adding up there!

No desire to learn SEO + No $$$$ to outsource= stick to your offline business!

    Best of luck.

SPAM!! C'mon now. I am 10000000x better than that. Like I said, I only started in my business and cannot afford to spend the revenue else where. i am building this business so yeah.

No, i do not have enough capital to outsource SEO. How many articles would I have to outsource in order to NATURALLY rank for top 10 in a very competitive niche such as MONEY MAKING??

I only asked if it was NECCESSARY TO DO SEO TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN INTERNET MARKETING. I am quite lazy frankly. However, TIME IS MONEY, and SEO seems to take A LOT OF TIME.. that's why I asked if it was neccessary.

        Hi IMBMPGuy,

You are asking for simple answers to questions that are a bit too complex for such simple answers.

There are no real guarantees in the competitive business of marketing. You must risk your capital if you want to grow your business. Some things have low risk, and generally low return on investment, while more aggressive strategies typically involve a bit more risk.

In the end it's all about your ability to execute, skill and timing play a major role in your success. It's your skill level, persistence and strategic planning that will make or break your marketing efforts.

Folks here can suggest and vouch for viable marketing techniques, but how are they to assess your ability to execute? Your time, like money, is part of your available assets and you must invest (put at risk) to test and assess the viability for your particular offer.

Ultimately you should consider outsourcing when you have insufficient time or skills to execute the next step of your strategy. Unless you have small ambitions, you will find yourself at that crossroad in relatively short order. You know you must do it, it's just a matter of timing and managing your resources.

Take a chance! You won't grow until you do.

SEO isn't that hard or time consuming once you know what you are doing and make a plan. I think the thing that puts most people off is all the speculation and different schools of SEO. Makes the whole thing seem very confusing. The key is just breaking it down into a process, for example, every day do:

3 Article submissions (spin the 3 into one and submit to a lot of article directories pointing back at money site, original articles and web 2.0 properties)
10 Blog comments (high pr, relevant) pointing back at money site + articles/web 2.0
5 spokes on linkwheel (using spun article)
1 New blog post (in blog network pointing back at money site and web 2.0, even use spun article)
1 Social bookmarking of everything (using onlywire or bot)
1 RSS feed submission of everything (using feedage, rss bot)
1 Misc. technique (linkbait article, forum profiles, video submission)

That would be maybe 2 or 3 hours, which is a lot obviously, but fortunately there are tools to automate much of the process. Obviously it's very important to keep track of all linkwheels, articles and the rest. A simple excel sheet would do.

If I had a proper budget for SEO, then I would outsource the spinning, forum profiles, but do blog comments myself and use tools for article submission, web 2.0 creation, rss and pinging, use a paid blog network.

SEO is not that much difficult but it takes time. Of course you can learn SEO and you will get more benefit learning it well. According to me SEO is must. Even though if you outsource, if you don't know yourself then how you will evaluate whether they did proper work or not. There are so many online tutorial available and it will take only few days to learn.
