Ranking a squidoo lens

How do you evaluate a spot on the search engines where a squidoo lens would rank?

I haven't had much luck with optimized squidoo lenses, however I can drive much traffic to them, they just don't seem to rank naturally.

    To rank your squidoo lens you are going to have to do the same things that you would have to do with anything like a blog.

    1. Traffic
    2. Fresh content.
    3. Backlinks.


    Squidoo can work wonders in the search engines, but really. Just get a blog and work it. You can place 1000x more content, you own it, and it is never going to kick you out the door.

    Makes sense. They definitely dont seem to rank at all with no backlinks. Even optimizing all the titles, tags and content just doesn't cut it it seems like
