I highly doubt that they can, that's more at the server level type of information. But then again, who really knows what google knows.

Google knows exactly what can be obtained by you or me with our web browser.

So if you can determine the poster's IP from the blog, then so can Google. If you can't, Google can't.

Not sure. but it's hard to believe that anything is impossible for Google! Google bot is so powerful that finding out an IP address is nothing for it!

The Google bot is not at all 'powerful'. It's just automated. It can't see anything on the web that you or I can't see.

If a poster's IP is not stored on the page, or on his profile page, Google can't read it.

I don't think google looks at every forum, blog, comment, or post to check the ip of the person that posted it. I would be more concerned about getting my ip blacklisted for spamming at spamhaus or askimet and similar places. You don't really want to make these lists, although most internet providers do force a new ip on you eventually. Some more frequent than others. Unless you have a static ip that never changes. Plus there is tons of proxies out there.

It's impossible. The owners of the forum where your profile is, or the owners of the article directory where you post an article can determine it, but google can't.

Just think logically - google's bot comes to the website and sees your profile. It only sees the html code and the HTTP headers. What's more, it knows everything about the domain and resolves it to the IP of the server where the profile/article directory is located.

How on earth can it determine YOUR IP? It can only see when the actual page was modified and all its headers, but no more.

Even though if the poster's IP is deliberately shown on a page, how on earth google can know that it's not a fake? I can easily create a bunch of my own forums and manually write in every profile any IP. It means absolutely nothing. Google will never know whether it's true or not. Only the HTTP headers is something that can be trusted.

Don't worry about it. You should worry about not creating a bunch of profiles/submitting lots of articles under the same IP, because this is something that can be easily determined by the owners of the websites.

So that gives them ezinearticles.com ip addy not everyone who has posted there.

The forum can tell your IP, but not Google. Well, unless Google owns the forum

The simple answer is not to worry about this. They don't know it and don't care. The only way they know it is if it is public info and they still don't care in that case.
