I have 2 new amazon affiliate sites launched 3 weeks ago. And I already set up around 200 backlinks for each of them. Now they are all in the first page of Google search on my targeted keywords. But I found many links have not been indexed by Google. So do I need keep building backlinks or not? Because, I think after these links are indexed, my sites will be No1 on my keywords. Thanks for any answers in advance.

I have heard that for a new site you should keep on building. Don't spam or go crazy, but keep building those backlinks in various ways making sure they are long term survival backlinks. A site's place on Google isn't really assured until it's been there a few years or so I hear and you can never really rest on your laurels. Your rivals probably aren't.

Don't stop building, unless those 200 or so are all you need to rank #1.

You are probably benefiting from the new content bonus.

Looking at your competition, did you think you would rank so well, so soon?

Google doesn't show all the backlinks as well as Yahoo. You might want to expand your site w/ more optimized pages and maybe a few backlinks from relevant websites.

I usually slow way down on the back linking once I *think* I have done enough to get to #1 and then let things simmer for a month or two.

Then revisit and do more back linking if you are not at #1.

Move onto another project and just keep checking.

    Never stop building backlinks!

Even if your sites completely stop showing up in Google for a while, just keep on building backlinks. In such a case, you are probably just going through the "sandbox" effect--just keep building your backlinks and you'll likely show back up where you were before.

I'll second the motion above about Yahoo vs. Google. Just go to Yahoo's front page and type "link:yoursite.com" into the search bar and you'll probably see a lot more of your site's links than Google is willing to show. You still won't see all of them, though.

By the way, congrats on getting such good rankings in such short time!

    Build Build Build.

Just don't spam everywhere. Look for relevant high PR places where you can backlink so that you can hold onto the top position. You can outsource this but it's not 100% guaranteed that the people on the other side will be professional. Or if they are gonna manually do the submissions or just add your url into some type of sofware.
