Adsense Now??? Or Later???

I've seen a few places where people argue about when to put adsense on their sites. Some say to put it on right away and others say to wait a few months and then put adsense on.

Is there any real reason these people are saying this? Do you make more if you put it on later? I'm kind of confused and I want to make money from adsense right away rather than a few months from launching a site.

Any info about adsense that isn't well know will be great.

Thanks

Are you wanting to make money Now??? Or Later???

If your site is ready to be online, then it's ready for
    adsense.

      Thanks

I was just wondering because the people that were arguing about now or later were trying to say now because you'll make money or later because you'll make more money per click.

I always wait until the site is fully indexed (within a week or so) and then put the adsense on. I have nothing solid to back me up as this is just the way I do it. To be honest, I don't think it really matters when you put it up.

Thanks Negotiator. I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.

I'll probably do the same as you then.

I have over 20 sites now & have always put adsense on them right away with no problems. About half of the sites are on page 1 of google.

But what if I were to put them on right away and then my site matures over time? Does that matter?

I think I'm still gonna wait until I'm at least indexed in the search engines, at least google, until I add my adsense.

      Actually, it's just the opposite.

      Adsense matures over time.

So, if you put them on now, it gives google a jump on
      optimizing your adsense ads.

There is no reason to wait. Indexing has nothing to do
with adsense. It's all about content.

If your site complies with every google adsense TOS, slap
      em up there!

Absolutely true, Paul. AdSense does not depend upon site indexing, page rank, URL age or any of the common factors believed to have to do with Page Rank.

Each and every time the AdSense 'bot' comes to your site (which is every time someone visits a page with the AdSense code on it), AdSense "reads" the content and displays what it guesses to be the best paying ads for that content.

In fact it can be an interesting diagnostic tool ... display AdSense ads on a new site/page and look at the ads displayed ... if they don't match you topic, you need to find out why ... if you wait, say a month, the site may be already indexed for keywords you didn't intend ... I alays install the AdSense from day one ... been doing it that way since 2005 ... but I am not a guru or big player in the game, so remember YMMV.

You should never put adsense ads if you are planning on listing your site in directories, particularly the paid directories. As some directories can take up to 2 months to list your site, hence the reason why some may say to wait a couple of months.

tip: paid directories in particular will definitely reject a new site that has ads.

Where in the world did you get such information?

Directories, other than yahoo, might be time wasted, but seriously,
google has no problems with your adsense sites being in directories.

Where do people get this stuff?

If someone pays, I can't imagine any directory owner worrying about
            adsense on a submitted site!

In fact, that whole answer is convoluted.

              You have miss-interpreted my post.

if your aim is to make money selling affiliate products I wouldnt put adsense on the site to start off with, only if the niche seems not to be converting well.

arttse, I don't really have huge plans to work with paid directories.

The only one that I might do is the Yahoo! directory, but I'm not sure just yet.

OH!!!! Would Google adsense affect my placement into the Yahoo! directory?

For me the minute my new site is up and running, my adsense goes in immediately even when the site is not Google indexed. It has worked for me. When I put up an adsense site, I start to earn money within a week so there is really no time than immediately is there.
