Having more than 1 SEO plugins for Wordpress?

There has been a little bit of a battle among which SEO plugins range supreme.

I guess probably like most people, I started out using All-In-One-SEO-Pack for my Wordpress, which is pretty good, then I discovered Platinum SEO that pretty much does the same thing with additional features.

Then I started hearing people talking about Headspace 2, though lot more complicated, being the best.

I am having a very difficult time deciding which one to have, and wondering if there is any disadvantage or advantage to having all 3 seo plugins activated on my blog and filled with the title, description, keywords, meta, etc?

Why not have 3? More seo plugins is better...right?

Thanks for any help!

Just a thought on this post.

There are several savvy tech gurus out there that may be able to lead you in the right direction.

    Benefit:
    1. Less duplication of effort
    2. Less chance of giving Wordpress a technical hiccup which in turn may prevent certain plugins from working appropriately.

(I to have played the "more is better" card and have come to regret it!)

More activated plugins slows down the loading of your pages ...
Can you remember after a while in which plugin you filled your titles?

I would go for Platinum. I use it for some time now and it gives me great results.
It's all about what you feed the plugins with.

      Good luck

I have used Jeff Johnson seo plugin and started using the All-In-One as my main and only seo plugin, but since hearing about these other ones, I am debating which one to have...ideally I would like to have all 3 seo plugins activated, if there are advantages and NO disadvantages.

set your permalinks right and treat your description as an Adwords ad, these are the most important first steps I always take

Just like antivirus software, installing many of them will just make it difficult for you. They might conflict with each other.

Hence, it is best to pick one SEO plugin. In my case, I often use All in one seo plugin.

Just a heads up: SEO questions are meant for the adsense/SEO/PPC section of the forum. I think the mods are a bit busy now with a serial spammer or some such thing, but don't be surprised if this thread isn't deleted or moved.

There's no need for more than one SEO plugin. They'll just mess each other up. I only use Platinum SEO because it offers features that others don't. Make sure you use all of the benefits of it by filling in the Title, Description and a few tags on every page.

The Title & Description are both VERY important. They not only tell the search engines what your page is about but they also give you the opportunity to "sell" the click to your visitors. Put great benefits and a strong call to action in both and it will increase your visitors - guaranteed.

    I'll explain each one.

You set your Title Tag for your Home Page in your Wordpress Settings. This can be up to 65 characters. You should always put the keyword phrase you're trying to rank for in the Title as well as benefits and a strong call to action.

Here's an example. Let's say your keyword is Red Widgets. Your Title should read something like this:

Lowest Prices On Red Widgets. Save Up To 50% On Widgets. Buy Here!

You should use a unique Title on every page so the search engines know what your page is about. If you look at the upper left hand corner in the blue bar on a webpage you'll see the Title. Remember, keyword phrase, benefits and strong call to action!

    Description

You always want to write your own unique description because if you don't the search engines will just take what they feel is relevant content from the page itself. This ruins an opportunity for you to encourage visitors to click. Use the same format as the Title, but you'll have 155-160 words to work with here. Remember to use your exact keyword phrase at least once, add great benefits and use a strong call to action!

    Hope that helps.
