WHERE DID MY ADWORDS ADS GO??!!

I had about 12 clicks to my ads at around 8 am, i just logged in to check my stats, and i still have 12 clicks on my ads. So i checked google, typed in my keyword, my ad is gone. I logged into my adwords account, nothing is pending, my quality score is still 7/10 for most of my keywords, my ads are still eligible, i have sufficient funds, my keywords are still good to go....what gives?

I even checked my email to see if my account was banned/disabled. Nothing. Just vanished into thin air.....

Any ideas?

It may be possible that Google will not show your own ads to you. Is your country on the display in countries list ?

Already checked that, had my girlfriend type in my keywords, she confirmed they are not showing up.

whatever you do don't contact support and ask them what the problem is. Alot of people have reported that when they done this, adwords support reviews your account and 95% of the people that reported this has the accounts suspended with the "your account violates adwords TOS". The ones that dont report it and test by raising there bids to see any changes didnt have anything happen to them. Just raise the bids and see if anything changes and if not just delete the campaign and make the same one again, this time starting out with a higher bid amount.

There's a whole host of reasons.

You don't have any ads left.
You are being outbidded at the moment.
There are better ads to show.
          Not a lot of searching.
          They're on page 2,3, or even 5...
          The list goes on...

Don't do a search for your ads. That could be a strike against
you. Your ad is shown, but not clicked.

Exactly what happened to me...and now they don't respond to anything.

If your advert is OK in terms of adsense's TOS, then by all means contact them, but if it's not, the chances are they'll check out your advert, see it breaks the TOS, ban your account and then you will be screwed, perhaps just try upping the bid a bit to see if that brings your ad back?

Come on people. How can you possibly use google,
then be afraid to contact them? Makes no sense.

I gave some very, very good info above.

There's also much more to it than that, however.

It seems to me that you may be searching for your own
ads, clicking on them, etc., which is just bad news.

Seriously, if you are afraid of google that much, then
      take your business elsewhere.

I'll be the first to admit that contacting google and getting
anywhere can be tough. But to be afraid that they'll can you
means you are having a guilty conscience.

Contact them, but read all the info they have about adwords
first. Google is very good at spelling things out in great detail.
That seems to be quite a secret.

People come here first, but none of us work for google.

Paulgl, has covered your concerns, just ask in normal circumstances would my ad be showing now ? what is your daily budget, is your account set to average impressions across the day or speed view mode ?

for example if you only have say $5 spend set for a day , then g will pick selected views so you ads are spread even across the day, because of this your ad may not show.

also what is your cpc set at ? does it qualify for page one ? also in your tools there is a ad preview tool and you should be using this to preview you ads where possible.

Yes you have stated even more reasons. There are quite a lot of intangibles.
I think it would be impossible to list them all.

But again, never go searching for your ad. For each ad shown and no click, you will
only go down, not up. That is the first thing you should NOT do.

Big Update for everyone following this thread.

Apparently, my landing page constituted what they call a "bridge page", which is defined as a page with little unique content and a sole purpose to drive traffic to another site.

Let me just start by saying, I completely agree with their statement, and have been working with them to try and resolve it. My landing page was indeed a promotion more or less of the product i'm promoting (thats the idea, right?)

First off, they are great at getting back to me, there is no doubt about that. I sent about 4 emails to adwords rep yesterday (same one i have been dealing with) and she got back to me within 1 hour or so after each email. Great support system, not sure where everyone else gets the idea that they don't have one.

However, I am completely flabbergasted at what there definition of a bridge page is. I don't understand how I can promote a product without creating a page with a link to the product. It's almost as if they want my landing page to have a link to another page which promotes the product.

I have been researching other sites with ads in my niche and notice that many of them link to affiliate sites, but they do it in a covert kind of way. They talk alot about the product, compare it to others in a table usually, or have a detailed description about the product, only to link to another review of the same product.

To me, and this is stupid old me, it seems as though this strategy kind of gives the customer the run around. But if thats how they want it, then thats how they're are gonna get it.

My account is under suspension by they way, but i'm not deterred. They are working with me constantly, and I know that I'm not screwed for life as many of you may think. They want you as a customer, you just need to keep fighting until you find the right solution.

    Any ideas?

Google have become impossible. They are about as much use as a hedgehog in a balloon factory.

Once your account is suspended you've as much chance of getting it back as you have of flying to the moon on an egg whisk.

They are *******s of the highest order. I gave up with them long ago.

What ever you do, DO NOT build your business around Adwords.

If you're Adwords dependent you will get suspended for something or other.

It happened to me when the FTC brought in the new rules back in December. My entire business model was build around Adwords then boom. I got a lifetime ban for no apparent reason.

Wow, a lifetime ban? What were you selling? It seems to me if you can adapt to their policies you can just about sell anything.

        You live you learn.
I'm glad to hear that you got some word from google.
All you can do is try and do what they want.

It could take a lifetime to figure adwords out.

But it's worth sticking too if you can get it done and done.

I think what most people mean, is to try other things as you
are doing adwords. Just in case....

I just don't get it...Here's an email I just got

"Thank you for your email. As you can see here:
    Affiliate URLs - AdWords Help
,the issue of being a bridge page is the idea, in general, that you are
using your site to send users to another site. This leads to poor user
experience and therefore does not meet our advertising guidelines."

I can honestly, in about 2 or 3 minutes, find about 10 pages that are "using their site to send users to another site".

This makes absolutely no sense at all. What is the purpose of creating, say, a website that compares the top 3 skin creams or whatever, and then not being able to link to the products website?

Is this not what they are saying, in a nutshell?

There is a subtle difference in what you are doing.

Is your main purpose of your site in adwords to get someone
to visit another site? If it is, that's not good.

IMHO, just the term "bridge" page, denotes a violation.

Bridge page, doorway page, etc. are just not going to
      cut it.

You need to have a page with some sort of call to action.

Just because others do it, (as you found out) does not mean
      everyone can do it.
