Fast Indexing - How to?

This is the scenario:

Wordpress site. Updated daily. Unique content.

BUT it does not show up on latest results for latest post keywords.

Site has the usual ping service and I ping the post URL in Pingler.

None of this is working.

Any solution?

If it were my blog, I would try two things:

Optimized pings - Normally, Wordpress does not ping when a scheduled post is published. There is a plugin available to change this.
Backlinks - I would try to build a few backlinks to make Google "like" my site.

Hey Nate,

The posts are not scheduled - it's live stuff. As soon as a GAlert hits my mail box, I write a new post.

As for backlinks, the site is loved by G. Good rankings. But It seems I can't keep the spiders on top of it

Its called MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer I use it on every site I have ever built and it works great.

These two plugins work like a charm. The second one is not free but you can find it for free if you search for it...

hook your site up with the technorati rss feed... and do direct link to your site via goarticles.. that should get you indexed in 24 hours

Pinging doesn't work for **** if it's all coming from your IP. Try social bookmarking that post from multiple accounts and I guarantee the spider will hit it.

  delicious
  Use Adwords Keyword tool to scan the site
  A back link in your sig line here at WF

Have you added that site to your Google Webmaster Tools account?
Everything checks out there? Maybe a problem with your Sitemap...

Anyway, have you tried manually setting up the Crawling speed? (Not sure if it helps at all..)

I've added my site to Webmaster tools, gotten a sitemap submitted...man oh man I got 5000 links in that thing and it took over a week for them to touch it, then like maybe 2 of the pages were indexed. They're not in a hurry.

Guys,

Appreciate your feedback BUT isn't supposed Wordpress Ping + outside ping (pingler, pingomatic,etc) call the Spiders to the site and get NEW content indexed?

I know I can use a social bookmark or a article to link the new content BUT I want my WP sites to be able to hit Publish and call the spiders.

Any solution INSIDE WP that you know of?

for fast indexing
digg will do it for you faster
ping sites are also good if the content is new to the spider

He's right, this forum IS indexed well and often. This is one place where PR seems to matter. Higher PR sites are definitely crawled a lot more thoroughly and often.

  1 submission to identi.ca will usually do it. The site is PR 8 and do follow.
  It's like twitter, so simply submit your link and it will appear on the front page of this PR 8 beast. Requires only 30 seconds of work and has indexed whatever I have put up usually within 5 minutes. Enjoy!
