Ok folk's this post is my lighthearted take on all this SEO stuff.

In my opinion google is getting way too big for it "boots" when it comes to trying to rank in the SERP'S.

Google slap, Google Sandbox, Suspended Adense Accounts, Disliking < 5 page affiliate sites, etc,etc...

This kind of reminds me of an old Bob Hope comedy movie where he had to face a feared gunfighter at dawn.

At dawn people were stopping him to give advice on how to beat him. One man said something like "he stands on tiptoes so make sure you crouch when you shoot" another said "he's blind in the left eye so draw your gun to the right" and so on.

Google are making fools of all of us by making us jump through mostly unesessary hoops just to "beat" them and get your site ranked.

If Affiliate marketers stopped focusing on Google SERP's and Google Adwords in particular I bet they will change their tune. Whether they like Affiliate Marketers or not they need us fo revenue AND content but in my opinion there just overly picky for the crapiest of reasons.

There are other search engines out there.

Peace!

Ok, ok we all know google is the search engine "don" at the moment as they dominate with around 70% of the market but does that mean the likes of bing and yahoo are broke or washed up? of course not. does it also mean that no one can make money in affiliate marketing in bing or yahoo? of course not.

All i'm saying (or was trying to say) is there's too much focus on google.
Would you leave 20-30% of your money on the table?

    Do they really?

I would think that affiliate marketers represent only a tiny portion of the overall websites and adwords customers and are probably the most likely to provide a less then stellar user experience. Could I be wrong?

Rules are for those that follow them, rules are for those that do not understand loop holes. I think in the future many changes will be coming. but for now don't hat the game, learn to play it and stop complaining.
