Researching for adsense

I heard that if you type in a keyword or phrase at a search engine and only two or three ppc ads pop up on the right there is very low competition for this keyword. Anyone know about this?

    It's generally true. But on the other hand it might be a niche with low traffic that you won't make much money out of.

    When you say competition do you mean other adword competition or niche competition?

    If your wanting to see the competition level adword advertisers then just use the Google Adword Tool...

    If you wanting to know about the competition level for the keyword then just check out the search results for the keyword using google.

    But then again not sure what you really mean by competition.
