I just started to put adsense on my website.. I am new to adsense so I'm not really sure how you are paid.. Is it per click?

I have right now a total of 26 impressions with 5 clicks and a CTR of 19.23% yet the page eCPM and Estimated Earnings still say $0.00

What does this mean?

Any insight would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Seth

    Mian,

I visited the site you mentioned.. It didn't really explain how I get paid though. Do I get paid per click or per 1000 impressions?

Thats strange...you should get paid per click unless you changed a setting....if it says $0...they might be invalid clicks.

Try giving AdSense system enough time, like half a day to update statistics and check again if these 5 clicks were credited to you.

Just looked at it again today.. 44 impressions, 16 clicks, 36.36% CTR, $0.00 eCPM, $0.00 Estimated Earnings..

Where would I go to see if the setting is on "per click"?

Adsense is per click. I think that your google thinks that you might be getting fraudulent clicks, thus you not getting credit for those clicks...

You might also be getting clicks on public service ads (PSA). These pay nothing, and it's common for new sites to display these until the AdSense bot decides which ads to display.

Seth, IMHO, you have a bigger problem than just answering that single question. Everyday there is no telling how many people jump into Adsense and a year later, they still haven't even reached the $100.00 minimum for a payout.

If you are committed to making money with Adsense; learn the rules from the rule makers. You need to read...
Next, I would also grab Joel Comm's Adsense Guide, there is no charge for it and you can grab it at: Make money with Google AdSense with Joel Comm's free book

Succeeding with Adsense takes the same tenacity, strategies and diligence as it does to succeed in any business. Conversely, without any game plan and without any understanding of the Adsense game, you'll most likely end up joining the thousands of frustrated Adsense publishers.

    Hope that helps!

Either they were invalid clicks or clicks was made on Public Service ads. Try to filter your ads if relevant ads are not getting displayed.

You'll see the detailed estimated earning once you reach the $10 earning threshold.
About the calculation, I don't even really understand on how is google formula (I had try to figure it out few months ago but the calculation still didn't match) to calculate the earning.

James gives the most logical answer to your problem unless something dodgy is being done.

You are either getting clicks on PSA ads; clicking your own ads; someone else is clicking your ads for you. The CTR is very high for targeted ads, let alone PSA ads.

It is common to get some clicks removed/earn $0.00 but the percentage is extremly low. To have 5 clicks that Google won't pay you for is not normal.

Actually Fraggler, it is more common than you may be aware of. See: Is Google not counting some of my clicks? - AdSense Help

That's just one example coming directly from the Google Adsense forum, which includes an incredible number of frustrations, complaints and concerns from people not making $$$ with Adsense.

As quiet as it is kept, many Adsense publishers struggle with Adsense and experience exactly what the OP is experiencing.

Did you insert the google adsense script after you built your ads exactly as it was provided to you?

Any error in the publisher id could result in clicks not properly credited - or it could be public service ads (which you could clearly see displayed on the site).

At any rate, you should follow Crew Chief's advice above and READ the information provided when you log into your adsense account.

What concerns me is that you say you have no idea how payment is made - yet that is clearly explained on the adsense site. Calendars are even displayed to show when payments are made. Explore the adsense site and learn about the process so you know what you are doing. Also be sure to thoroughly read the terms of use so you don't unknowingly violate one of the adsense rules.
