    Hello,

Google will never show you all your backlinks.

Continue to build backlinks, without looking at the count.

--->>>Track the changes in your SERP, not the number of backlinks.

On one of my sites I have over 1,000 backlinks in Yahoo and about 7 in Google so Google does not show all the backlinks a site has. Personally, I think the "new" alghorithm is placing less importance on backlinks due to all the backlink spamming going on. I place less importance on them and concentrate on excellent content instead. I still use social bookmarking to bookmark by posts, but don't go much further than that.

          For backlink analysis, I use
          1. Yahoo Site Explorer with SEOquake Firefix plugin (or SEObook plugin). YSE may soon be discontinued. Enjoy while you can!
          2. SEOmoz Open Site Explorer -- it is much better but finds fewer links. But it lets you filter out nofollow, which helps a lot! You can read about it here.

I hope this helps a bit!

Its true that google does not show all the back links. Even I did not know that till recently and was worried. I would also like to know about some back link checkers. One that I tried is Backlink Checker

This opinion is false. Backlinks are the single most important ranking factor, and there is no chance of that changing any time soon. However, Google's algorithm has become much more sophisticated in evaluating links. Te original algo passed only one ingredient via links, namely, PR. Today, link juice contains at least three other ingredients: trust, relevance, and geographical association. Trust is by far the most important part of it, and this enables Google to treat different classes of links differently. For example, getting backlinks from high PR penis enlargement sites is not going to help you one bit, but in the sold days it would have. Link Building for SEO has evolved a great deal.

I place less importance on them and concentrate on excellent content instead. I still use social bookmarking to bookmark by posts, but don't go much further than that.
Excellent content is not a ranking factor. You need backlinks. The problem is that excellent content does not reliably generate backlinks (the Web is filled with excellent content, life is too short for it). You need to at least promote your content to those who might be interested in it.

Hi....If you want your link to be more power, you must make sure the links are index. After doing the back links, you may ping it or doing book mark for it..you'll see the link more powerful.
If you want to know more about back link, Kok Choon warrior had lot of experience on this, you may check on his posting.
    All the best for you.
