I am soooo new at this. Currently building my new site. I have a question about keywords... How many is too many? Suppose you are building a site on book reviews, say "board books for infants" and during your keyword research you see there are 25 related keywords to "board books for infants". Can I do an entire site focusing on those keywords or should I sort the keywords into like items and build a bunch of mini sites and connect them? Thanks...hope that makes sense.

With the specificity of your first keyword example, you probably can do a whole site around those keywords. Now making a site that makes good sense to both search engines and users is where the artistry comes in.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

This is good advice I would add that you should first focus on the most relevant keywords and phrases.

Depends on the competitions I guess. Always try to look for the competitions for each keyword. Depends on your budget, always go for the lowest ones.

If all 25 are fairly closely related the simplest way would be with a single site. Decide which one to concentrate on, as it will be quicker to try to rank your site for one main keyword than for all 25 at once.

If it is practical, try to focus articles on that main keyword 50-60% of the time with an even mix of the rest for variety. As dvduval points out, the trick is to maintain that balance while seeming natural and appealing to flesh & blood readers.

You can have around 300 keywords you target for each site, we have tested sites with 400, but that is pushing it with Google, but its still been going strong. We SEO for alot of keywords per site, so we know.

I would suggest go for the competition of keywords, because too many keywords would not do the trick but less keywords with high competition would do it for you.
