How to increase Adsense Revenue?

Hi guys,

I've got a press release distribution center (free for webmasters - check my signature) where I have google adsense embedded. I'm having around 200-300 daily visitors - 20-30 daily members - and 40-50 daily news releases. But still I have 1-2$ maximum per day (1-3 clicks per day).

Can anybody advice me to increase the earnings at least to a 5$ per day? is there any to-do list when we optimizing websites?

Thanks for your time.

In the white area beneath 'Free Press Release' add a big 280 x 300 adsense block. Make it a different colour to the scheme you have so it stands out.

Just make sure the ad is not 'labelled' in any way and adheres to Terms and Conditions.

At the moment, the 'gold' coloured skyscraper ad is somewhat hidden.

Your ads are hidden away in the sidebars. People don't look at them unless they want to go somewhere else (navigate). Most people will be looking at the content of the site - ie the guts!

Put a 336x280 at the top of your content and one at the bottom.

Keep one of the sidebar units. Place each one in a different Channel and track which ones are working the best.

I haven't looked at your code but I assume the left column is coded first. That means your best ad unit is being wasted in the sidebar where a normal reader won't be looking. If it has the lower CTR then drop it. The image ad unit at the bottom right is a waste of space.

Remove it while you test the first three (you can only have 3). Once you test the left sidebar, test the right sidebar. Put your ad in the winner.

You can test the top ad unit to be before the content starts of 1 paragraph into the content. Test wrapped and non-wrapped.

What I can suggest is that you can put your ads above the fold. This is one of the most important lessons I have learnt from my sites.

More pages = more longtail traffic = more Adsense clicks = more money

You can either keep pumping out pages (and go back and get backlinks to them or not)
Or you can have less pages but focus more on backlinks

    Neither method is wrong.

Virus alert... as soon as I accessed your site, my virus scanner detected the JS/Wonka trojan. You might want to give you site a go-over. Having malware on your site will definitely decrease your AdSense revenue, no matter what changes you make to your layout...

I found the same thing - someone has accessed your site. Check for code in your pages.

also got the virus so you may need to delete all your files and re upload them.

Happened to me a few years back and all my sites went down. google also removed my site.
